“Good in its class”
Reviewed 29 July 2014

We stopped here on our way from the border in Tanzania to Nairobi. From the outside it certainly looked more like a 'western' hotel than any other we had seen in town. The room we were in was accessed via an open balcony. Price-wise it was not expensive and we went for the upgrade as the receptionist told us the standard rooms were 'tiny'.

The restaurant is effectively next door. Breakfast is included and was unusual to our tastes, a combination of different foods such as omelete, frankfurter, samosas, sauted veg, pieces of fruit and some other things we didn't identify. African porridge available.

Advertised as WiFi included we found that one laptop picked up the WiFi, the other did not - however it worked well in the restaurant and reception areas.

Shower was hot.

However the decor is tired and the bathroom in particular needs some updating.

Room Tip: go for the upgrade - the room is easily double the size

Stayed here overnight on my way to Nairobi. The rooms and general hotel (e.g. at the reception and restaurant) have an old finishing, which does not make the room/reception/restaurant look appealing or inviting. Shower in my room was instant shower (for hot water), but it can be connected better, as the pressure was very low. The room is however clean, as well as the beddings.
I have special but simple dietary requirements, but the kitchen found it difficult to provide the same. I hear it is the best hotel in town, for one night it was ok. Staff are however friendly and try to help out as much as they can.

Stayed here as part of an Intrepid trip. Room was tiny, had to put the chair out on the balcony so we could get around. Wi-fi worked well but the internet connection was flaky. Enjoyed the bar, very relaxing. Food at the restaurant was adequate, nothing oustanding.
Did discover (too late) that for $17 you could upgrade to a room twice the size with much better shower and room to breathe. Highly recommended that you take this path.
Be sure to get out and investigate Narok; it is an outstanding place - flat out busy and full of life.
The Seasons is a little ouside the main town centre but the walk there is an experience in itself.

Room Tip: Upgrade if with Intrepid.

Narok is a bustling trading post town as previously commented, as a stopover for tourists on the way to the nature park (which is FANTASTIC!!!).

My friend who lives in Nairobi says Seasons is the best hotel in town and I was indeed highly acceptable. Rooms are basic but clean and it was ideal for a night stopover. They have excellent security, a nice bar with good choice of drinks - the local 6.5% Guinness is great!) and breakfast was fine.

They have different rates for local residents and tourists so if you are travelling with a local make sure they ask for the local rate.

My review ratings are allowing for it being where it is, so there is a slight expectation adjustment compared to if I was writing this review for a 2 star French hotel for example.

Spent a weekend here with family. Got the family room which is actually two interconnected rooms which served us perfectly.Facing the road meant a bot of traffic noise at night which was not all together too bad. Clean and prompt service from the personnel. The hotel mainly acts as stop over place for tourists and for persons on this road. Two aspects which may need attention;
a)The restaurant is ok, a bit packed but serves the purpose with a fair variety of offerings for buffets. It opens up to an internal courtyard which seems to be the backyard of some space hence not very welcoming and yet there seems to be opportunity to open it to the general outdoors for a more pleasant view and airiness. We also thought roast meat would be easily available here noting it to be a local delicacy but alas!
b) We were particularly keen to have a swim only to realize that the pool was dirty. The attendant insisted that it was under treatment and would be ready in 30 minutes but the receptionist confirmed that it hadn't been cleaned in over a week due to unavailability of chemicals! A later check revealed no change and the attendant now insisted it was ok!!!!!!! A pristine pool would be a prime asset here noting the high temperatures.
Otherwise, a good stay worth spending over.

Room Tip: Family rooms available. for maximum silence, do not take rooms on road facing side.

Nice hotel, good design and structure but feels like a sleeping giant mostly used as a stop over for tourists visiting the Maasai Mara. Rooms are clean and very decent, though some are tiny so request for the superior/deluxe rooms. Food is good and the breakfast is great. The breakfast is ready very early which is excellent if you have to head out early. The staff are friendly and courteous. You will definitely enjoy your stay.
