I have been coming to tobago frequently from a young age and can honestly stay I have never felt so comfortable and at home as when staying at Kia's Across From the Beach.

With just a 2 minute walk to Store Bay and a 5 minute walk to Pigeon Point Beach- Kia's Across from the Beach is in the perfect location. There is a bank right opposite alongside a laundrette and an internet cafe which we have never needed as there is wireless internet throughout the guesthouse. There is a huge choice of eateries around "Skewers" being one of our favourites. Kia's is ideal for anybody who isnt planning on driving although there are car parking spaces available if you are planning on renting a car. .

Me and my sister and friends have been staying with Karen in Kia's apartments for nearly 7 weeks now and have seen practically every room. The place is always very clean- all staff here take a great pride in the guesthouses appearance. All rooms have either an A/C or a fan and some have both. The rooms are a good size and the beds are comfy!

The garden at Kia's is beautiful with fruit trees and so on. Once you are through the gate you would never imagine that you are in the most happening part of Tobago- Its a nice escape after a hot day in the sun especially if you have a room with a balcony.

I would like to say a big thankyou to Karen who really knows what it is to make people feel more than at home. Countless times she has gone out of her way to make sure me, friends and my sister feel confortable and have everything we need. Thank you so much karen! Will definitely be reccomending this place to all of my friends back home and will be very sad to go!

Easily a 10 minute walk from the beach. Next to a very busy noisy road. The doors were slamming until 3am and beyond. Roosters wander locally and have no idea thay are supposed to wait until daylight to crow.

A very bad experience.

The host was very apologetic and helpful. However that does not take away what a bad experience staying here was. I am not even mentioning the worst part of the stay here because it would make it look like I have a jaundiced view of the place.

Kia's is a hidden jem. We loved it! I went to Trinidad with two frineds before going to Tobago. We were there for my b-day during the Jazz Festival. We had a 1-bedroom apartment on the top floor April 22-27. I found Kia's on www.myTobago.info

Karen, the owner, is great-- cheery and helpful. My only complaint is that the cleaning lady did not clean! One day she dropped off new sheets but that was it.

The apartment was gorgeous-- very spacious with one bed, dining table, full kitchen, TV sitting area with couch, balcony with a table. Karen gave us an extra fold out bed.

The local public beach (Store Bay) is up the road. We also went to Pigeon Point beach (15 min walk from Kia's or via taxi 30TT [$5 US]), which is private, and lovely.. the water only comes up to your waist though, it's very shallow.

There are eateries near by, and a convenience store on the corner. The food at the beach is nice also. Take some tamirind sauce home with you, a guy on the main road sells it. Yummy!

We went on the snorkling tour, which is around 40TT at Store Bay beach.

Club Shade is nice, loved the Tequila shots!

My boyfriend and I stayed at Kia's for three nights, we stayed in one of the guest rooms with the shared bathrooms, but we had the floor to ourselves so we didn't have to share. The price was amazing, I'm a broke recent college graduate and it was very affordable. The owner Karen was great, she was very helpful, the room had everything, including cable TV, towels, unbrella, mosquito net, fan(no AC necessary), Iron, alarm clock, and full bed. We were even picked up from the port and the guest house is right across from the beach (Store Bay) and everything else, including food, the bank and other beaches are in close proximity. The only con is the the room was a little dusty in the corners, but thats about it. I would like to post pics but they are too large. I love Kia's.

Kia on the Beach is truly a great find! My daughter and I stayed at Kia's for a week during the hot season. At first, we were apprehensive with all the talk about crime and being in new, strange surroundings. We soon forgot about that and moved around in the area freely. The rooms were cool because of the high ceilings; the location is great because it is across the street from Store Bay, walking distance from the airport and the night life in the area. Above all, the owner made us feel completely at home. Karen made our stay comfortable and enjoyable, she went above and beyond to answer our questions, provide directions and advice and make us feel relaxed in Tobago. If you are looking for a five star hotel, this is not it, but if you want that home away from home, comfortable, clean, convenient and reasonable lodgings, Kia on the beach is the answer. Thanks Karen for making our stay a lovely, memorable one and give a kiss to the "real Kia", your daughter. .

This spot was an awesome find. We arrived in Tobago, no hotel reservation, figured that we'd get something reasonable as it was late May - not high season. Five minutes from the airport, you could miss Kia's, as it's literally tucked away behind huge palm trees, and lot's of different tropical trees that surround the place - truly beautiful. A local woman told us about the place - I highly recommend this guest house to anyone. Very airy bright, clean rooms, with the most amazing 10-foot wooden ceilings - and right out of our window - the greenery! I can't over ehmpahsize - the greenery. We had our fill of mangoes - I guess you know you're in heaven when you just pick fruit from right off of the tree. And of course the best thing is it is right across from the beach called Storebay by the Bucco reef. Great for swimmng, the water's really calm, clear - typical Tobago beach. Great location, it's near restaurants, grocery stores and easy tramsportation. And all of this you get for really great rates. We'd definitely stay there again.
