Having read many negative reviews of the Coco Reef, we were pleasantly surprised with our own experience there and can understand why a large proportion of the guests were repeat visits, some of them ,many times over many years .

We've just returned after spending two weeks at the Coco Reef. This was our first holiday there and we were very impressed, we were on an all inclusive offer which we found to be great value, food was plentiful and variable with different menus every day.

The restaurant and bar areas were well set out, the staff always helpful, friendly and attentive.

The private beach was smaller than expected but not over crowded during our stay. The lagoon was calm with safe swimming and snorkelling .. In fact would be ideal for families. The staff regularly came round with complimentary soft drinks or other drinks as requested, and always with a smile.

Our sea view room was comfortable, yes a bit dated, but no way did this spoil our holiday as we only slept in it!! We found our room to very clean and well provisioned with tea, coffee and bathroom products.

With so many staff who enhanced our holiday experience, it would be unfair , if not impossible, to name them all but our thanks go to you all.

Overall we had a great holiday and will return.

We have visited Coco Reef every year for the last 10. The hotel is expertly run by Eric and his fantastic team. If you want any thing just ask and the team will do their utmost to make things happen. The hotel and its gardens and wonderful beach are in great condition, clean, tidy and well maintained. The beach and the extremely safe large lagoon is excellent for swimming snorkellng and just having a relaxing time in the warm sea. A trip with Marlon in CoCo Motion will take you to excellent snorkeling and hopefully sight of dolphins plus speed boat trills. The all inclusive package is undoubtedly the one to go for. The food is great, varied and wonderfully prepared by executive chef Kenneth. The resent change to Argentinian wines is a great success. This is a truely Caribbean style hotel and we will be back next year.

Room Tip: We have stayed in the same room overlooking Store Bay for 10 years, any room overlooking the sea is great .

We have just returned from our second stay at Coco Reef. The first was 2 years ago, and we now know why so many clients return year after year - it just gets better.
The setting is just simply breathtaking , just a 5 minute transfer, but trust us you never hear the planes. The private beach is surrounded by beautiful lagoon, safe for all to swim in and teaming with fish
Staff and service is just so friendly; nothing is too much trouble. Whether you dine formally in the evening or casually on the beach, food is varied and very tasty.
There are lots of excursions- the best is a trip with Peter on his jet boat Zoe, or you can just kick back and work your way through the cocktails

A mixed bag. The beach area excellent and is the main selling point of the hotel. Pool not great but the beach option means that isn't such a problem. Room ok, clean though dated. Wifi expensive and only available in the lobby. The level of hotel service was moderate on the whole, with a few exceptions. I stayed B&B, all inclusive customers seemed more satisfied with their experiences. Not really value for money, the quality just isn't quite there. A shame, as like Tobago, it has the potential to be a great place to stay.

I decided to take the family on a short vacation, and on reviewing the available hotels in Tobago, I decided on Coco Reef.

Pros:

1. Staff was very helpful
2. Buffet breakfast was decent
3. Enclosed beach was fantastic

Cons:

1. Front desk staff was not aware of how to use a Point of Sale machine.
2. The garden view room was very moist and moldy, with no cell or data signals
3. Roaches in room!
4. Got a change of room due to the roaches... it was definitely better, but the Air condition was loud while it was off.
5. No WiFi in the rooms, only in the lobby at a cost; There is an internet room, with only 1 computer working
6. Pool has some loose floor tiles, slightly moss on the surface as well.
7. More than 50% of the Cable tv channels in the room were not working due to poor signals

All in all it was very disappointing and I will not be returning.

Room Tip: Ocean View Rooms on second floor only
