This has to be one of the friendliest hotels we have ever stayed in, and that applies to both staff and guests. As others have pointed out the place does look a little shabby but that's mainly cosmetic and all other aspects of the hotel more than make up for it. The evening entertainment tends to end a little too early so definitely not for night owls but we tended to go to bed fairly early and were normally on the beach before 9!

It was very noticeable that a large percentage of the guests were "repeaters" which is always a good sign.

This was our second trip to coco reef and we were not dissapointed, everything was what we wanted, we did have one problem which was beyond the hotels control but was delt with very swiftly. Everyone is so freindly and helpful nothing is too much bother, the entertainment was the same people as two years ago. we will be returning for a third time in the future, as returning guests they try even harder to make your holiday even more special.

Spacious hotel which is very clean but not pristine. That might sound odd, but I think the faded colours of the paint and the not quite white sheets makes it look a bit worn. This is possibly were and tear from the climate. We were lucky enouigh to be on a 'deal' for 2 days which made all inclusive affordable, when I had looked at it previously at full price it seemed expensive. The staff were overall very attentive an pleasant, but the expression on some faces brought a chill to the Carribean air and despite best manners and friendliness it could not be resolved - think it is a personality thing! The lunch time BBQ is fantastic, really fresh steak and tender steak. The sea water is seperated from the Caribean sea by a man made rock wall which makes the immediate sea into a lovely lagoon, safe for children to play in. Get some snorkle gear or just use goggles and swim round the outside of this wall (open at both ends so you can do a loop). We had the best snorkling we have had in three trips to the Carribean. A fantastic variety of fish. We did this 4 time and saw something new every time. Take some bread rolls in a small poly bag or some breakfast sausage and watch the fish go!

Just had a great holiday at the coco reef-the staff are really friendly, and they are not slow by carribean time- whats the rush?
The hotel has a lot of charm, it does need in parts revamping however the whole place is spotlessly clean.
The food is good and you will not starve or loose weight.
Any hitches we had were dealt with in a very efficient and professional manner-our room backed onto a guest house so like previous reviews we had the hounds from hell at night after mentioning it to the duty manager we were moved and upgraded straight away. The dogs are on private land so the hotel can only complain to the authorties which we were told they do daily.
The cocktail menu is limited but they are specialties of the hotel .We had lots of different ones Camile does extra special ones!! just ask.
The beach is clean plenty of loungers and shade if you wish. The sea was clear with lots of fish even a friendly barracuda known as Barry.
Go to Pidgeon point its a good trek-not a walk but well worth it
We had a fantastic time on Zoe the boat in the bay-Peter does the trips and is one of the best we have ever done he shows you all the non touristy places to snorkel gets in the sea with you and points out all the fish.
Sunday school was also a good trip the tin pans played all night .there is a good mix of islanders and tourists it is very friendly especially after a few stags!
Tobago itself is beautiful, lovely beaches, diversity of scenary, lots of raw nature.
Everyone at the coco was friendly yes the staff did nt smile all the time but a few pleasant words and good manners always works wonders.
Overall it is well worth the visit to Tobago and the Coco Many thanks to Gary ,Camile ,Mr
Junior Singh and all the staff there.
Missing the ironing lady and Victor who became a Grand dad while we were there!
Enjoy the coco for what it is if there is a problem tell the staff.Life is too short to spend holidays picking out miniscule faults They are for recharging your batteries and as in Tobago-"Liming"
We met lots of wondrful people at the Coco and cant wait to be "Repeaters"!

Clean beaches, lovely gardens, fantastic snorkeling and coral reef gardens within easy reach. The room was great with all the facilities available including air conditioning. The people and staff at the Coco Reef are so friendly and professional and do everything to make you feel welcome, relaxed and comfortable - nothing is too much effort and everyone smiles and welcomes you like friends. i can't speak highly enough of this hotel - the best on the island in my opinion for facilities and access to all the sighseeing around the island. In Tobago they want visitors to come back so there's no hassle from anyone - definately very highly recommended whether you want beach and watersports or sighseeing and visits to some lovely places.
