Right on Lake Arenal, 20 minutes to Arenal/La Fortuna, but what a beautiful drive and well worth the peace and quiet of the area.
Sabrina was our hostess and absolutely was a pleasure to meet and work with about our time in the Arenal area. Gave us a good tip on hiking Arenal 1986 lava flow area. Her boyfriend and Chef (sorry his name escapes me) created a wonderful breakfast every morning (included in price) and made us a fantastic steak dinner one night. Open air dining was wonderful, watching the birds, enjoying the landscaping of beautiful flowers and plants was so romantic and relaxing.
The 500 year old Ceiba Tree was pretty amazing and the toucans thought so too!
The private porch was wonderful, the in room refrig had beer and sodas, but there was a bottle of red wine that was calling my name, so every afternoon we would enjoy a glass of wine, looks for parrots, toucans, guans, hummingbirds, or any other bird that would sing for us or just enjoy the afternoon rain shower.
Highly recommend this lodge, I think 6 or 8 rooms. The Comfort rooms had the private balcony and of beautiful wood deck and interior. Just beautiful, intimate, and for perfect for chillin out after hiking or ATV's. Away from the noisey, crowded hotels.
