After an overnight stay in the BA aeroparque hotel, the gates of heaven opened when our taxi arrived at Posada Verde Oliva. Julia (the owner) greeted us personally and showed us to our beautiful room and the amazing posada and grounds that would be our home for the following few days.

We had dinner on our first night which was lovely and homely. They have their own vines on site so we sampled their own Malbec which I'd highly recommend!

We did a wine tour the next day which was quite a long day with lots of food and wine so it was great to be able to come "home" and relax on the sofa with a good book and an open fire (we were unlucky enough to be in town on 2 of the 40 days per year that it rains!). The fact that you can help yourself to water and fruit for free from the fridge just adds to that homely feel.

The next morning was more rain and the fire for the morning and then the sun came out and we lounged by the pool for the afternoon.

Julia, Karen, Samira, Monica and all the staff are so on the ball. They really strike the balance between leaving you in peace and ensuring your every need is met.

Top tips are to try the olive oil products Julia makes. My hair has never felt so soft. Also the wine region map in the lounge is beautiful and we purchased one of those too!

If you're looking for some relaxation time and a piece of home then book yourself in here!

The #1 rating this property gets is well deserved. It is a lovely place with the most helpful staff we've encountered anywhere. Samira & Karen gladly assisted us even before our arrival by securing tickets to Vendemia (the annual festival show not to be missed!). They also secured us a great driver, Miguel, to pick us up at the airport and we hired him again for the day to tour us through some of the local wineries. He was excellent. The owner, Julia, made a point of introducing herself to all the guests and all the staff checked with us during our stay to ensure we had everything we needed. We had dinner there the first night and it was marvellous as were all the breakfasts served by Monica. The property was lovely and the living area and rooms were all beautifully decorated. Our stay at the Posada was the highlight of our trip.

My wife and I stayed here as the base of our exploration of the wineries in Mendoza during January. We decided not to rent a car at the airport (which is expensive) and instead relied on taxis, which was a good decision. The posada arranged for a car to pick us up, and we met Fernando Azuri who has an outstanding wealth of knowledge about the wineries, wines, history and most anything else you might want to know about Mendoza. He took us on a winery tour and a city tour of Medonza. You can contact Fernando via the posada.

Julia Moreno and her team at the posada could not have been more gracious and helpful, giving us advice on where to go and what to do even before we arrived. Our room was very comfortable, and the patio and pool were a delight. We ate two of our three evening meals there and were very satisfied.

We hope to stay here again.

Room Tip: There are only three rooms, and I doubt there is much difference among them.

Our stay here was perfect. We were treated as friends rather than guests and the new bedroom which they have recently commissioned was secluded and really comfortable. The grounds and pool are a wonderful place to unwind, especially if you've had a few days in Buenos Aires. Aerolineas "lost" my luggage and the dedication of the staff in their determination to retrieve it for me was remarkable, even going to Mendoza airport for us. They will be recommended!!

Room Tip: The "new" bedroom sits separately and remote from the other three which are quiet and look...

The Posada Verde-Team treated us like friends. Although we arrived very late in the night (due to a delay of the flight to MDZ), Julia was there to welcome us. The rooms are really nice, the bathroom is very spacious, the whole Posada is simply a wonderful place to relax. Try their homecooked 3-course-dinners - they will consider your preferences in food - and their own wine (you do not often get the possibility to drink a wine almost sitting IN the wineyard where it has grown).
The restaurant they proposed us for the other night (1884) was simply one of the best during our whole trip in Argentina, and the Team did also help with organisation of taxi transfer.
Maipú itself is rather small so that you can reach all wineries by bike - easygoing.
I'd definitely recommend the Posada!

You must stay here; it feels like you have your own private winery when you do as there are only three rooms. When you step onto the property you see a pristine pool, a gorgeous vineyard, olive trees, and a beautiful patio to relax in. The rooms are lovely and well appointed. There are multiple dinning areas as well as outdoor spaces and indoor spaces to lounge in - all very comfortable. Julia, the owner is wonderful and a terrific cook. She made us dinner the first night and it was so good, we had her make us dinner our second night. The breakfast was also the best we had in Argentina (traveling for five weeks). We ended up here by mistake after our bus was cancelled. We were sorry we had not found this place for our entire stay in Mendoza. Karen, who helps out during the day, spent hours helping us figure out our transportation situation and always with a smile on her face. We couldn't stay here our last night in Mendoza as the property was fully booked, but Julia helped us to stay next door at her aunts place! This is definitely a place we will have to return to!

I really don't know where to start; Posada Verde Oliva have gone out of their way to ensure that you feel at home and it worked! The staff couldn't of been more helpful, the food is fantastic (wonderful, home cooked meals, accompanied by wine grown yards away from your table), the setting is idyllic and soothing. The rooms are large, homely and comfortable. When I am back in work this is where I will daydream of (and after visiting a country like Argentina, that's saying something).

Put simply, this the best place that I have ever stayed in.
