From the moment we arrived at the Posada Verde Oliva this became our favorite place to stay! The posada is surrounded by vineyards and olive trees and has a gorgeous Mediterranean style pool. We were one of two couples staying at the posada our first night and had a private dinner on the patio and then watched the stars with a bottle of wine on the lawn. The environment was very quiet and relaxing in contrast to the cities from which we were traveling. The rooms were spacious and well decorated. The AC was great as temperatures reached 100 degrees during our stay.

While the surrounds were absolutely beautiful, it was the staff that made the posada truly special. Polly set us up with bicycles for a winery tour of Maipu and then for my husband's birthday recommended a restaurant at the base of the Andies that was one of the best meals of our lives. Julia, the owner, Carolina and everyone else went above and beyond to make our stay unique, comfortable and truly special.

Once you arrive past the gate into this beautiful posada, you'll feel like you're in some private slice of heaven. It's just lovely, from the spacious bedrooms and bathrooms to the garden and pool, little vineyard and views beyond. Julia, the owner, is genuinely interested in making her guests happy and she does a great job in part because her staff is so terrific. I asked for help with restaurant reservations, excursions, and drivers and I'm so glad I did, as our entire stay was smooth and great fun. Be sure to have lunch at the little family restaurant within walking distance (Casa di Campo, I think)--the wine list is good as is the food. If you can bear to tear yourself away for dinner, Francis Malman 1884 is a handsome place for an excellent meal. Pay attention to the staff's recommendation for bike rentals and don't rent elsewhere, but do take a bike ride to some wineries. And for a big treat, let the staff make winery tour and lunch reservations. They won't steer you wrong.

We had an increible time on our stay here! Great colonial house with a small number if rooms. Beautiful garden with olive trees and a swimming pool to die for on the hot sunny days!
Stuff is very friendly and helpful.
Food in the posada is a bit overpriced...but good quality. Close enough to pop in the city of Mendoza if you want and very well located for reaching some of the best vineyards in the area. Perfect place! Highly recommended.

We stayed in this gorgeous Posada in December for 2 nights at the very beginning of our journey around Argentina and South America. It was such a beautiful relaxing way to start the trip.
From booking online and basing our decision on previous reviews we were simply hoping for the best and our expectations were superceded.
The rooms are delightful, comfortable and very clean.
The patio is excellent and the outlook over the vineyards and pool is serene. If you stay here, then I would recommend eating in - as Julia and the staff cook delicious meals.
Carolina arranged for an excellent personal winery tour, complete with a gorgeous lunch at Ruca Malen, and our driver was very knowledgable and so friendly. It was perfect without having to think at all.
I read the downfall is that the wifi isn't strong, and to be honest it isn't (but that's a problem across the continent), so put your phone down and escape like we did. You will love it here, just look at the photos we've added.

Beautiful place located outside of the city center in the Maipu district. Really nice facilities and rooms (only 5 rooms). Very helpful and friendly staff, beautiful pool area and vines just next to the patio. I would really recommend this place!

This wonderful posada has only about four rooms. The grounds are fantastic with a beautiful large pool, their own vineyard, and a lovely terrace where we enjoyed their Malbec. The great staff including Carolina and Julia can arrange any outing desired including having bicycles brought over for us. Breakfast is a major daily event. Julia makes perfect nut bread which you can smell baking. We had a custom menued dinner one night.

Room Tip: All rooms are spacious and several have patios

We spent 3 nights in December 2013. It was wonderful. We met up with old friends and enjoyed every moment. The Posada arranged our airport pick up, wine tasting tours, and horseback riding through the Andes. Julia, Carolina, Carolina, Carolina, Monica....and even our driver Miguel were all just wonderful. We especially enjoyed lounging on their spacious porch which looked out to fields and vineyards...eating delicious home made food and drinking the house Malbec. Breakfast was always a treat, but the extra we paid for dinner was so worth it. The rooms were spacious, clean, comfortable, and the pool quite refreshing after a long hot day exploring. I recommend it highly. It will remain a treasured memory for us and our friends.

Room Tip: See Julia if you have any issues with heating or cooling in your room. She responded right away to a...
