We stayed at Posada Verde Oliva for two nights and were pleasantly surprised by the level of service and beauty/cleanliness of the property. Julia and her staff made our stay extremely pleasant; arranging transportation to and from the airport, reserving bikes, lining up dinner reservations in downtown Mendoza (only a 15 minute ride away), and preparing a wonderful meal for us on our last night. We would also highly recommend Miguel as a driver during your stay. He is extremely knowledgeable about the area/wineries and was our 'guide' on a six hour winery tour that we booked the day before. Overall, we doubt there are few lodging options in the Mendoza area with better service and quality of accomodations. We will definitely stay at Posada Verde Oliva the next time we are in Mendoza.

We loved it, if you have the address you can find it. Julia and the whole team was amazing. The
property is stunning, private and so very clean. Our rooms were "Over the Moon" and I am a hard sell.
The beds were so comfortable, the linens and towels...perfect. The pillows GREAT. I can't say enough about this experience, especially since our 1st choice in Buenos Aires was so bad. This was a retreat. Go with Julia's suggestions she didn't fail us in any way.
Wishing all of them, only good things.

Room Tip: We loved the rooms with the private patio's. The pool and grounds were gorgeous.

Posada Verde Olivia is a lovely bread and breakfast situated in rural Maipu, Argentinian wine country. It's within a short walk or bike ride to scores of small wineries and, in fact, has vineyards on the grounds and "vino casero" (home-brewed wine).

If you are in Maipu, you should stay here - not just because of the beautiful grounds, fantastic hosts, and well accommodated rooms, but because the owner is one of the most well-connected people in Maipu. Whatever it is that you need, or whatever it is that you plan to do, Juliana probably knows the owner of the bar / restaurant / winery / tour and can make special accommodations for you.

Breakfast is included in the stay as well.

My only critique - and not one that would notch this below 5 stars, is that there is a mandatory check-out at 11am. If you're under 40 and like to party like the Argentinians do (i.e. late into the early morning), that strict checkout time is a tough pill to swallow.

We were fortunate to spend five days at this lovely guest house while we toured the wineries of Mendoza. Our room was immaculate and large. Our morning breakfast was tailored made as was our evening selection. They arranged for Miguel to be our driver. After consulting with us he arranged for our winery tours. Each one was different and offered us insight into winemaking in Mendoza. It is definitely more than malbec. We ended up purchasing some lovely olive oil and wine before we left for Buenos Aires. Although our plane left very early in the morning two staff members for Posada Verde Oliva arrived to make us breakfast and wish us a good journey.

We arrived unexpectedly at 7:00 A.M. after a long night of bus travel across the Andes, and Julia could not have been more welcoming. She and her staff worked diligently to get our rooms ready while at the same time preparing a wonderful breakfast for us. Everyone on the staff was warm and inviting. After a day of touring the local wineries, we came back to the posada for a lovely candlelit dinner, served on the patio. The next four days were equally as magical, and while that sounds like a cliche, I can't think of a more fitting description of this amazing place. The service was impeccable and the setting was dreamy. If you have the opportunity to visit Mendoza, do yourself the favor of seeking out Posada Verde Oliva as a place to stay.
