“A nice change to the industrial style wineries!”
Reviewed 28 September 2012

This place was a real gem, a family business, the wine is produced using traditional methods which made it instantly different to the large, industrail wineries that I also visited. the tasting was also first rate with 4 different wines to be tasted (as opposed to the usual 2-3). They also provided some bread with the local olive oil on, which was a nice touch. Several good deals were to be found in the wine shop, especially nice as some of the wines can only be bought there and are not exported.

“Family style winery. You have to visit.”
Reviewed 20 April 2012

In a tour around wineries of Mendoza, we visited Don Arturo. It was great to see how the family managed the small winery which is much more worried about the quality of the wine than the quantity of production. The group was divided between Spanish and English speakers. The English group was much smaller and the guide, a girl named Juliana or Julieta, was excellent and very very nice. The tasting was good and even better after we could meet the nice couple who owned the place. They offered us one of their special lines to taste - the Don Arturo Malbec Premium. It was the best wine I tried in all the trip. You MUST visit it.

“Small gem, frequented by tour buses but still worth an individual visit!”
Reviewed 18 April 2012

Hard to find if you don't have a GPS, this was recommended to us by locals. We called ahead and were told we could come when we wanted. We arrived sometime in the afternoon and were greeted by a closed gate, which was promptly opened. After waiting for about 15 minutes for other tour buses to arrive so that we could join one of their tours.
We were lucky, since they had pegged us to need an English tour; there were only two other English-speakers. We were given a tour of the premises, which was good (and much the same as many other vineyards we had visited) but a bit standard - it felt a little like the girl was rattling down her usual thing. Her English was perfect, she had lived in California for a while.
The premises are beautiful, nice greenery and awesome birds to watch. The wines are only sold in the bodega and are well-priced, we took some bottles home. The tour is free of charge.
Would go there as a first visit to wineries, since it's small enough to give you a bit more of an insight.
