“A boutique in beautiful Kifisia, Athens, Greece”
Reviewed 28 May 2014

This little hotel is located in Kifisia, a posh green leafy suburb of Athens where the prime minister and diplomats live. It is in a residential quiet neighborhood and has only 22 rooms. In May we paid about 100 euros a night. I don't know what the rates might be later in the season.

The hotel is located about a 10 minute walk from the subway (KAT station) and about a 30 minute ride into Omonia Square in the center of Athens. There are restaurants at the next stop in Kifisia center but none near the hotel itself apparently. But never mind. The hotel has a wonderful but small menu with very good food for dinner. The nightly rate includes a great breakfast, best we had in Greece.

Coco-mat is a Greek company that makes a lot of household products like sheets, pillow, mattresses, etc. I have never before stayed in a hotel with a pillow menu. The beds are incredible comfortable, like sleeping on a cloud. The best descriptive word for this hotel is comfort. Also, the staff is very friendly and each room comes with a lavender 'pillow' that can be taken home.

If you don't mind being away from the Athens city center you will find this hotel a real gem.

Great place to stay.
It is a lit bit far from downtown but it was charming;
Beds are really good.
The hosts are charming and helpful
I will certainly get back there for the breakfast and honesty bar. What else ?!

I will never stay anywhere else while I visit Athens again! It is in a great area outside the main city with cool shops, bars and restaurants and it is only 20 minutes to the airport.
I have been to Athens 3 times before this trip and stayed in the center each time (which is an hour away from the airport)... If you have ever been to Athens you know it is not the greatest vacation spot! You basically want to see the sites and get out of there in the light of day! Coco-Mat changed all my thoughts on Athens while giving me the most comfortable sleep and stay of my entire vacation of 3 weeks! The staff are so friendly, they give you complimentary coffe and cakes, the hotel is so chic and stylishly designed and the food!!! The restaurants food is AMAZING!!! I can not say enough good things about this hotel!

Room Tip: We stayed on the level below the main lobby and the room was huge with its own enclosed patio!

My husband and I stayed for 8 nights at Hotel Nafsika because of great reviews. The hotel had a nice calming energy and was clean. No matter what we were doing each day, as soon as we walked through the front door, we felt so much happier and relieved. As others have said, it's an easy walk from the Metro station and is in a quiet residential neighborhood. A lot of natural wood and materials are used throughout the hotel. We also loved the breakfast! They served fresh-squeezed OJ, (cooked to order) eggs/omelet with veggies or meat, several types of artisanal bread, hot baked item, fruit salad, cheeses, cold cuts, yogurt, and 3 types of goodies. They also had self-serve espresso machines and teas. They had honey, praline, and house-made strawberry jam on the table. They were all-you-can-eat. The staff was very helpful and personable. It helped that there were only 22 rooms. The only complaints we had were the tight space and very heavy sliding closet door in our room. Hotel Nafsika was definitely a highlight of our trip to Greece.

i was attending a wedding in Greece and my hosts made me stay here. Very warm hotel, almost feels like being at home... The mattresses are the best aspect of the stay here and one doesn't want to leave the bed. The breakfast is good and the staff is courteous.

The hotel is set in a leafy, quiet outlying suburb to the north east of Athens. An area in stark contrast to the rest of the city.
The rooms and bathrooms are small but comfortable (especially if you like soft mattresses) and the dining area is very homely. There was no toaster which was a problem and they don't tell you up front that the half a glass of squeezed orange juice that comes with breakfast is 3 euros!
The staff are very friendly and all in all it's quite a pleasant place to stay.
However, if you are in Athens for business it's a little far out of the city to be convenient. The train is cheap but it takes about 50mins including walk time to get to Constitution Square.

I came to the hotel with my family (one kid) by car. I do not know hoe far is from the metro station (they told me that it is near). First impression: nice, clean and very friendly personal. We decided to go to the room for a nap of 15 min because the kid was already sleeping and we were tired! The room was average in size (enough for 2 persons). A big bed and a couch. We slept and wake up 2.5 hours later!!! I felt like in paradise! The coco-mat hotel uses the coco-mat mattress which is famous! And they have right!!! The best sleep we have ever had! No pain at all after the travel and no stress. They use lavender and this helps to relax. We went eating to the hotel restaurant after this. The restaurant is very clean and the tables are at the lobby place. Very warm welcoming and the personal was very kind! After all this experience we decided to buy coco-mat mattress!!! :) thank you for the experience!
