“Amazing view ! Great amenities, friendly staff.”

We loved sitting on the huge deck enjoying the panoramic view of the Bay of Banderas. The condo was very spacious and worked perfectly even when we were 6 people staying there. The furniture and beds were very comfortable. Paul the property manager was very responsive to any and all issues we encountered . We stayed for several weeks and it is to be expected that some things may break down and need repairs. The repairs were attended to very promptly and they tried their best to accommodate the timing to our advantage to not disrupt our plans for the day. The grounds of the complex are tended to daily and all the staff greeted us with a friendly hola and smile. The security staff were so friendly and helpful as were the staff at the beach restaurant at the beach club. The service at the beach club was top notch and drinks and food was very reasonably priced during the day. Yes the hill is steep but it kept us fit . There is a canopy of trees over most of the hill so even in the heat of the day it was doable. We enjoyed having our choice of the pool at the Jungle club or the huge pool at the beachclub plus there loungers at the beach so you could enjoy the ocean too. The Beach Club was much closer than I anticipated and there was always plenty of loungers , so nice not to have to haul chairs back and forth to the beach. We also liked that we were within walking distance to the Marina at La Cruz and the famous La Cruz Sunday Market. We shopped for our fruits and vegetables at the warehouse at the bottom of the hill, the prices were so reasonable. It was easy to get wherever we needed, the collectivo's were plentiful and the buses were frequent. La Cruz comes to life at night with several restaurants and bars with entertainment. We would definitely recommend the Alamar.

“Amazing views and privacy with superior amenities”

This is indeed a luxury condo with all the amenities one could want. While the unit is part of the large Alamar development featuring two high-rise towers (and a third under construction), Amura 1 is at ground level of a low-rise building with only two units per level, well separated from each other to afford maximum privacy. The views from the two large terraces (one containing a private jacuzzi, albeit not heated) are spectacular. The floor-to-ceiling wall-to-wall pocket patio doors in the living room and master bedroom provide a wonderful seamless transition from indoor to outdoor living space.

The kitchen is well equipped, there is a small laundry room with a washer/dryer combo, the living room furniture is stylish and comfortable. Mattresses were brand new, linens and bedspread of good quality, towels plentiful. Ceiling fans in the bedrooms and in the living room were sufficient to keep temperatures comfortable most of the time and we rarely had to turn the air conditioner on.

We experienced a few minor problems, but they were promptly fixed. Paul responds to all e-mails almost immediately and takes whatever action is necessary.

Of all the units in the Alamar Develoment, the location of Amura 1 is among the most convenient and least strenuous to get to. Yes, there is a hill, but it is only half the distance to Amura as compared to the high-rise towers. We (in our mid-70's, but still fit) climbed this hill several times each day returning from town, the beach or the bus stop. This could be an issue for someone with mobility problems.
On the other hand, the standard cab fare is a ridiculously low 60 pesos from anywhere in La Cruz.

We enjoyed exploring the small town of La Cruz with corner stores and restaurants all over the place. Not to be missed is the Sunday morning market at the Marina. Everything is within walking distance - if you're used to walking. If not, there is a bus stop at the bottom of the Alamar hill. Public transit buses and private shared transportation vans come by every 10 minutes or so. And as mentioned, cabs are cheap.

We didn't make much use of the Jungle Club and the Beach Club because sitting around a swimming pool, even if it is an infinity pool with crystal clear water and spray features, is not our thing. However, we should mention that these facilities are outstanding. We did use the private splash pool/jacuzzi on our terrrace; it was cleaned twice while we were there.

If there was a fly in the ointment, it was the noise, not so much during the day, but very annoying at night when the dogs that sleep all day decide to keep everybody awake with their incessant barking. Also, there is a new highway just below this development and we found the traffic noise particularly intrusive at night and early morning. Sound sleepers or those who can stand earplugs (we unfortunately can't) may not be bothered by this.

Overall we had a great two-week stay in this top-notch condo, away from tourist-y Puerto and Nuevo Vallarta.

“"Sunrise-Sunset" small town heaven!”

Oh the vistas, the balconies, the beautifully terraced infinity pool area, the walks to beaches, good music, simple or fancy fare, comfy lodgings, and our own private soaking pool to relax and breathe it all in.

Luxury in a welcoming small town. Amura One offers a great perch nested on the hillside for a splendid Mexico stay in La Cruz de Huanacaxtle.

Liked best: The extensive patio which overlooked the bay. Also, because the unit is on a lower floor we could not see the road below.
Liked least: I can only say that the upper pool was being refinished. Disappointing but it was a maintenance issue and shows Alamars dedication to keeping the property in pristine condition.

“Excellent place and beautiful views”

I had always been a bit nervous about vacation rentals but this experience completely removed all my concerns. The price is low considering what you get in comparison to a hotel room. The unit is comfortable and has a beautiful view to the Banderas Bay. You can sit and relax there for hours with your family and friends just enjoying the view. It even has a small private pool that also views to the bay. I liked this location bettern than Puerto Vallarta since it is much less busy and you can truly relax. I could have stayed there for 2 weeks.
