“Can avoid if short on time”
3 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 18 June 2014

It took quite a long time for the drive and the tickets were pricey per person to the table mountain national park. The views were great but the table mountain cable way and signal hill drive views were better and more easy to do to save time and money.

“Driving to Cape Of Good Hope from Capetown Is a Breeze!”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 18 June 2014

I was so excited to go Cape of Good Hope as I recalled during my Geography classes, I always day-dream and ask myself silly questions “Only Good Hope exists there?” Ha-ha.
From Capetown, it is 70km drive to Cape of Good Hope.

As per my drive plan, I will drive past Hout Bay, Chapman Bay, Kommetjie, Scarborough and through Cape of Good Hope National Reserve to the very tip. We enjoyed a good 1 hour plus scenic drive (we didn’t stop & take pictures).

Now, the surprise was the long 1 hour wait (in the car queuing), to enter into the Cape of Good Hope National Reserve entrance. Perhaps, it was Boxing Day. Perhaps, it is not. Anyway, just enjoy the fresh alpine forest scent, while waiting. Stock up sufficient water & snacks too.

cape of good hope is a must do.you can combine the trip with chapmans peak drive, boulders beach, seal cruise at hout bay etc.
pick a good clear day and enjoy the scenery and the beauty of nature which most of us coming from urban areas hardly ever get to see!

“Cape point and cape of good hope”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 17 June 2014

This was amazing and awesome to see for oneself.
It's worth the walk to the end viewpoint position as the scenery is staggering.
Cape of good hope sign was crazy and full,of Chinese etc so you have to push in if you want to get the prized photo of you and the sign.

“Glad I took the time to see cape of good hope”

Always had wanted to see Cape of Good Hope and I wasn't disappointed. Big surf on the Atlantic Side, more placid water on the Indian side.
