A lovely B & B. John and his staff lovely. Rooms slightly small and it would have been good to have tea & coffee making available for early morning. I,m sure John would have made me a coffee but it would mean having to get dressed early!!. A lovely experience at the end of our holiday. Thanks to all at Camp Junction

John is an amazing host with tons of good information on things to see & places to eat. You'll have amazing views of the water at every meal. A couple small things could make this great B&B even better; like tea/coffee makers in the room & face/wash cloths. Best wifi we had the 2 weeks we were there. Be sure to try pub at bottom of hill.

We stayed for 1 night, on our way to the Dingle Peninsula.
Great locatiion, beautiful view, room OK with a big clean bathroom and good shower.
Price ok for what you get, compared to other B&B's in the area.
And John gave good advices for the rest of our trip :-)

This was our second time staying at Camp Junction House. There are a lot of B&Bs in Ireland (like, a LOT) but we saw no reason to look for somewhere new when we had such a great experience at Camp Junction House the first time! The nicest thing about this place is the owner, John, and his sister, Teresa, who helps with breakfast in the morning. John is super attentive to his guests (there is a review on here that says "Staff first, Customers second" that I think is misplaced as this is a guest house, not a pub....) and full of good advice about where to go. He's very knowledgable about local music, events, etc. Every time we come to the house (whether it's checking in or at the end of the day) John has invited us for tea or to sit and talk or use the tv in the breakfast room (there are tvs in the rooms as well but that one is bigger). We really feel at home here.

Camp itself is very small, but we liked that. It's about a 20-30 minute drive to Dingle and maybe 15 to Tralee (driving times in Ireland are very variable depending on whether you are Irish or a conservative American driver, so just be aware). The view from the B&B is LOVELY and at the bottom of the hill are two pubs, so it's very convenient to come back and walk from the B&B down the hill for dinner and a pint.

The rooms are very clean. They are a bit smaller but not unreasonably so and the bathrooms are great--very nicely tiled, etc. This might seem random to put in the a review but the towels were awesome.

After the owner himself and family, however, the second best part of the B&B are the BREAKFASTS. There is so much food if you want it--the challenge becomes getting John to not serve you as much! Among other things we've had smoked salmon, eggs of all kinds, porridge, yogurt, fruit, cereal, bacon, sausage--a full Irish breakfast is available or John will take your order for individual items. The coffee is good too!

Overall, we'll definitely continue to stay here any time our travels take us to the Dingle peninsula.

We have spent a night at the Camp Junction House during our walk along the Dingle Way. The stay was very pleasant and we had a great breakfast. The owner was very friendly and helped us organizing a luggage transfer to our next accommodation. The room was clean and quite.

No food after 8pm. not a good service in the summer. If a pub wants to be successful surely catering for the needs of travelers is a good idea??We telephone to say we would arrive at 8pm and they were not interested

This was a perfect spot to begin a trip to Ireland. Beautiful setting, wonderful room, and the best hosts! We loved staying here. John Doyle knows how to make his guests feel very welcome, and provides excellent tips for touring and enjoying the local scene. I would highly recommend staying here.
