“Great Place to Stay”
Reviewed 9 July 2012

Stayed a couple of nights while attending a family birthday, the pictures on the web site are a true record of how good the rooms are. The breakfast was fab lots of fresh fruit, with a good selection of cerials and cooked menu. Ann and John were welcoming and very friendly. Would stay again and tell family and friends all about it.

Room Tip: There are only two rooms I think and only one is en-suite so would recommend booking well in advance...

My mother & I stayed 3 nights in this thoroughly modern B&B, who offered great value for money. The room was spacious, very clean & decorated very tastefully. The lounge was absolutely superb and very comfortable. Breakfast was plentiful, of excellent quality and variety. The hosts were as friendly, helpful & accommodating as you would hope, offering advice on the local places & restaurants to visit. We would have no hesitation in recommending this B&B or coming back ourselves. A thoroughly enjoyable stay!

We stayed here for two nights when picking up our son for his summer vacation from Uni.
Ann & John were very welcoming and made us feel at ease.We stayed in the en-suite room which was excellent and the lounge area was very comfortable. The breakfast choice covered all needs
from cereals to full English and was excellent. Great value and would happily stay here again.

We stayed here recently when in the area for a family wedding. Ann and John could not have been more welcoming and, obliging, even offering to ferry us to and fro if needed. Decor was very tasteful and relaxing. Our ensuite double room was exceptionally clean and the bed was amazingly comfortable. Breakfast was outstanding with a selection of fresh fruits in addition to an enormous plateful of full english. Will definitely recommend to anyone to stay here and we will most certainly be coming again when next in the area. Thank you again to Ann and John for making our overnight stay so enjoyable.

We stayed there 1 night during our cycle from Land's End to John O'Groats. We arrived like drowned rats! The bikes were put away in the garage and al our wet clothes were dried and wet weather clothing hung up to dry. The house and room was lovely and clean and the private lounge area was brilliant! As the weather was so bad they kindly drove us to the local pub were we had a great carvery. They even volunteered to pick us up too! The breakfast was fantastic with loads of fresh fruit and nuts and the cooked fry-up was 10/10! Only very minor point would be that the twin room was a little cramped but this was made up with by having the separate private lounge area.
All in all a fab place to stay, clean, very welcoming and very comfortable. Definately would use again and HIGHLY recommended.

My daughter and I stayed with Ann and John at Twycross House for 2 nights whilst visiting the Tremough campus of Exeter University and can highly recommend it. Our room was an en-suite double which was pretty, light and airy and spotlessly clean. The bed was very comfy with high quality linen and pillows. Breakfast consisted of cereals, fresh and dried fruit, yogurts, a full cooked breakfast, toast, croissants if required, fruit juices and tea or coffee. The breakfast was perfectly cooked and piping hot - fabulous! The upstairs communal area with cream leather reclining sofas and surround sound Sky TV was a really nice touch. We were able to have a couple of hours in the evenings just watching TV with a glass of wine without being restricted to sitting in our room. Ann and John were exceptional hosts; nothing was too much trouble and they were on hand to offer advice on the area, restaurants, places to visit etc. I would not hesitate to recommend this B&B to anyone and would definitely stay there again.
