“An unforgettable experience”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 4 January 2013

We loved every minute of our stay at Rosedale B&B. The house is very nice with a beautiful garden and rooms are very well decorated, clean, spacious and pretty.
Pip & Henk were very nice, helpful and made us feel at home. The house is full of details that make the stay perfect. We really appreciated the chocolates and Port in the living area, this makes the area that hosts use very welcoming and homely. We had the opportunity to use the BBQ facilities for a cosy wine and steak evening in. Pip & Henk facilitated all utilities needed for it.
Breakfast was amazing too. Even thought they offer continental breakfast, what they provide is more than a standard continental breakfast and everyday there was something special and delicious. On Christmas day Pip went out of her way to make a very special effort to make us all feel at home and to perceive that special day as if we were with our closer friends/family. She cooked a very nice French toast with Benedictine eggs for breakfast including gorgeous Christmas decoration and cracklings, generating a very warm and intimate atmosphere.
Rosedale is located in a perfect area, as it is close to the wineries but still quite and isolated from the major roads.
Despite of all of that, Rosedale continues to be the best value for money we found in the Hunter. We would definitely go to Rosedale in our next trip to the Hunter Valley.

Stumbled upon this little gem through bookings.com where it is justfully highly appreciated for the good value for money. We are on a long trip and this place really was a home away from home, which was especially nice as we stayed here during Christmas.
Hosts Henk and Pip put as much care and attention in to their guests as they obviously do in to the lovely rose garden that surrounds their home. Rooms are spacious, clean and tastefully decorated, breakfast is brilliant and the little details (port and chocolate in the living) are all there. Don't hesitate to book this place when you plan to visit the Hunter.

Our first experience at a B &B and it was fantastic! So welcoming it felt like home. The accomodations, excellent. The grounds, beautiful. Our hosts, magnificent! We went there to visit the Hunter Valley vineyards and we so pleased at the Rosedale's proximity to them. We were able to visit 6 in one day!

We were completely blown away by Pip & Henk's set up. Far enough from Cessnock to be nice and quiet but close enough to everything else, the location is slap bang in the middle of all the vineyards.

The rooms - a squeaky clean modern take on lovely Victorian cottages. The food - Pip's cooking is awesome; fresh & hot breakfast was the ultimate start to the day (and a great hangover cure, especially combined with Pip's knowing wink + strong coffee).

Where this place really comes into its own is the attitude of the Henk & Pip. As soon as they heard we hadn't been to the Hunter and had no plans, they were more than willing to sit and help map out our stay with recommendations and advice.

The care Pip & Henk took with this advice showed they really wanted us to enjoy our time in the Hunter - and enjoy it we did. Henk dropped us off at a wedding (our reason for the trip) and helped load the car when we left. It is these small extras that set Rosedale B'n'B apart.

Can't recommend highly enough - 10/10.

I have stayed a Rosedale Bed & Breakfast 5 times now and each time it gets better and better. Pip and Henk are so welcoming and the accommodation is second to none. The rooms are immaculate and Pip's breakfasts are to die for - I literally bounce out of bed for them!
The house and grounds are warm and inviting and you will instantly forget you're only 2 hours from Sydney. Its like another world where you can relax and just enjoy living.
My trips to the Hunter Valley are no longer about the wine... I now go to visit Pip and Henk and enjoy a truly relaxing stay at the beautiful Rosedale. I will never stay anywhere else.

We recently enjoyed a weekend at Rosedale B & B in the centre of the Hunter Valley wine growing region.
Set amongst beutiful gardens, this is a very comfortable and friendly three guestroom B & B in the midst of the Lovedale vineyards and a short drive from Pokolbin and Cessnock.

The rooms are bright, clean and quiet and there are communal lounge and dining areas for guests. The breakfasts are to die for.

We thouroughly enjoyed our weekend there and would like to thank our hosts Henk and Pip.

We will definitely be back!

Room Tip: All rooms are good.

If you are lookig for a place that over delivers look no longer. Rosedale B&B is just lovely.
Our room was nice and quiet wth lovely bed linnen, little table and chairs so we could sit in our room if we wanted too. We were sharing the loung with 2 other couples and that was no issue
The breakfasts came straight out of gourmet cook book, and served in a nice dining room
You have to see the vege garden, it is so nice to see people growing their own stuff.
All in all we have no hesitation coming back to Rosedale

Room Tip: we stayed in room 3 but had a little peep in the other rooms which looked equally nice
