“ever so clean”

this is a all inclusive hotel that give you plastic cups to drink out of at the pool . thats ok at the pool because of the safety aspect . but not in the bar in the night its a big no no from me i like to drink my beer out of a glass . the staff are great well i thought so . Emma and anecca in resorption are the very best with out them the place would go down hill fast . Alex is also very good . and Miguel on night shift at the reception is also very helpful . but this hotel is not for people with walking difficulties as there loads of very steep hills and loads of steps .

Stayed here with my girlfriend from 21st June to 28th. The food was awsome, plenty of choice. The pool was big, friendly staff, location was beautiful and loved every minute of my holiday. Whoever puts anything negative up about this hotel needs their heads read. Would defo go back. What a stunning place. Thank you

Took my four-year-old daughter and one-year-old son. Read some of the recent negative reviews and became apprehensive, but fortunately I do not recognise the Presidente in some of the negative comments. It was fantastic. The rooms are a basic and a in need of a bit of TLC in places, but overall they are very comfortable and have everything you need, including the Cbeebies channel. The cleaning staff are the best I have ever encountered; the room was kept immaculate, which considering we decorated it with sand on a regular basis was some achievement. We had a sea view room, and what a view, but the downside of this was we overlooked the stage. It wasn't a big issue, but on a couple of nights we wanted an early night, we struggled over the sound of the music. The kids were able to sleep right through it though and it stopped at 11pm. The aqua splash pool was perfect for the kids to have fun in a safe environment. Portinatx is absolutely stunning; beautiful views, a fantastic pair of beaches and the sea stayed shallow a long way out, which again made it perfect for the kids. Thomson rather naughtily pulled the kids club after we had booked, which didn't bother us as we probably wouldn't have used it, but there were some other guests pretty miffed at this. The entertainment was pretty poor, but not for lack of effort by the hotel staff. The food was great, always something that my fussy 4 year old would eat, again, no mean feat. The waiters were great with the kids. Reception staff are absolutely tip top. Befriended a couple of lovely families with similarly aged kids and they were all just as impressed as we were with the place.
If you're looking for a place to take your kids where you can have fun with them/watch them have fun in a safe environment, you'll struggle to do better for the price. If you're the type of person for whom the hotel animation make or break the holiday, I'd stay away.
We're definitely considering returning next year.

Room Tip: The sea view rooms offer a gorgeous view, but will put you on the same side as the entertainment sta...

This is the first negative feedback I have given, but felt I needed to share our experience. We arrived at the hotel minus all of our suitcases, the Thompson rep Holly was lovely, she was really helpful and chased up our missing cases. The hotel was clean and the staff were lovely, however the hotel is past it's best and is getting a bit shabbŷ. The food was actually very good, not a massive variety but tasty. Now for the bad part of the review - we bought this holiday specifically for the Thompson experience, Thompson the dog, kids clubs and entertainment but it seems the good people at Thompson had withdrawn all of this without letting anyone know. Our little girl is 4and this is the last holiday we will have before she starts school. We have been on a few Thompson holidays now so she knew what to expect so was really disappointed that Thompson didn't make a visit and all the other things she liked weren't there, a lot of families seemed to be in the same situation. The kids entertainment at night consisted of the same music that a member of staff danced with the children too and that was cut short more times than not. Such a shame as the resort was lovely but we shall definitely be looking at using a different tour operator for next years holiday.

Read a load of reviews and was worried. What we got were clean rooms, good, well cooked food variety and friendly staff. OK, the entertainment was poor. The only real downside were the people moaning about next to nothing and some of the gut buckets in the dining room, eating like vacuum cleaners. This applies to both men, women and children. EG 12 rashers of bacon on one plate. By the way WE supervise our own children. I met some lovely people and some nice families. The cleanliness question around the pool is the fault of the guests that leave rubbish and dog ends about and those that use the loo and don't wash hands (personally observed many times). We paid for what we got. If you want more, pay more.

Well to begin with the Presidente wasn't our first choice but an alternative as the hotel which was part of a package was overbooked. I must say it was a cheapie!! A cheeky little break! To start with the rooms are very basic but clean, we had 3 rooms and all were the same. To be honest I was a bit worried as it was very cheap! The pool is very small but I prefer beach's any way, there is a small toddlers pool with slides which is clean and safe. Im not sure what the entertainment was like as I'm allergic to it much to my wife's dismay! The food was surprisingly good and yes there was a shortage of snacks and the plastic cups were annoying, but I'd rather have descent meals then snacks any way. The bar stopped doing all inclusive drinks at 11pm, if you wanted any after you'd have to pay. Considering the price I'm not surprised of the little things in place. But on the whole the staff were very helpful, the food was good with enough variety, the rooms cleaned daily and the local beach is only a 5 minute walk. The beach is sandy and very good for kids as the sea slopes gently. Over all a good holiday nice and quite area with nice beach's, I would go there again!

We booked this hotel before reading previous reviews and wish we hadn't! When we got to our room on the 1st floor we discovered that the patio door to the balcony, was a hook and eye type latch (the type used on a rabbit hutch)! We couldn't unpack as we couldn't move rooms until lunchtime the next day.
The food in the restaurant was luke warm and 4 members of our party had food poisoning, 2 of which were hospitalised overnight.
The entertainment was non existent unless you are a 4 year old - seriously, there was no entertainment at all.
The pool area was dirty - not a single ashtray around, so cigarette butts being thrown all over the floor. No lifeguards and kids jumping off the bridge!
On a plus side the maid came in every day and the rooms were clean. The 2 girls on Reception were really friendly and helpful. But this is not enough reason to book this hotel. Don't go!!
We have never written a review after a holiday, but felt this one was so bad we had to let you know in the hope it puts you off going there and ruining your family holiday.
