The resort is generally clean but pump boats are parked in front of the resort making guest to maneuver just to reach the beach. Beach front along the sea side is dirty with plastic and dog waste around. Staff lacks of initiative and customer service, comfort room door, jammed.
Late checkout is required but no information on what time the allowed check out. Cut the air conditioning while preparing to leave or check out. Too much chlorine on the pool. Total service, POOR!

Room Tip: Inspect the rooms and amenities including the beach front before paying the resort!

For those who wants to save half of your budget, this place is your choice!Of course don't compare this beach resort to the class A resorts that offers good service, best room and best pool. As the amount of money you're going to spend here is exactly the service, rooms and amenities fit to your budget. But for me, there are a lot of advantages when we chose to stay here. First, rooms have aircons, with hot & cold shower, of course there's no bathtub, towel, soap etc., as it clearly stated in their rules & regulations what they can offer and what they don't. You can relax and sleep tight as guests are not allowed to swim during midnight and they dont allow to play videoke at night also. Second, you can bring your own food, you can cook, grill as they are not strict compare to other class A resort (mostly they dont allow guests to bring food). This is a big no to us, cos we want to grill our own fresh sea foods as you can buy from the nearby market. Free cottages if you stay overnight. You can do bonfire outside the resort beside the sea and its safe cos its just infront of the resort. You can buy foods, drinks, etc at their store. (we bought ginger as well hehehhe)If you want to go to Anawangin, you can rent a boat. You can buy mangoes, squid (it depends on the season & availability) in a very cheap price compare when you buy from the market of Pundaquit. Staff are very helpful and friendly. My only comment and concern is the parking and going inside the resort (one-way). We enjoyed our summer vacation and we had fun. Thank you to all the staff esp. to Ms. Annie..She is very helpful, from the beginning that we communicate thru email. We had a problem sending our reservation and she accepted and considered our reservation without a deposit, she said just pay upon check-in. Thanks Annie!

Canoe Beach Resort, simply what u see is what u get "A Budget Beach Resort" for everybody!
Thank you!

When we arrived, i thought the place is too noisy and crowded. I forgot that its summer. The travel is just OK although the tricycle ride is dusty. Not advisable to take the tricyle at night. I like their food, thanks to their cook Mark. It is cheap and taste is great. The staff are very friendly. i noticed they maintain the cleanliness of the resort. You can see too many staff during the morning, cleaning. The rooms are clean. The ambiance is great for a person who is looking for a nice place to relax. Thanks to all the staff.

Went in a daytour with family 19 pax including 2 toddlers. We had to change plans from overnight to a daytour as we all had work and have no other weekends in april to travel with my dad who will be out of the country by the 21st we changed the plansfrom batangas to zambales at the recomendation of friends. The website looked promising so after soo many options this was were i chose to take my family. On the phone they answered questions but annie seemed impatient and tild me that everything is on the website.. When we got there, none of the staff bothered to check on us. They even implied " theyre only on day tour"
There were no water activities to avail. Considering it was a holiday and summer peak. They said no one is available to monitor the kayak so they cant rent it out. Good thing my cousins brought a volleyball. Ordering anything was a pain. My dad and uncle had to go to and from the reception/cafe to order AND get their beer. Our hut was oceanfront and the cafe was poolside. That was 7 trips to order. No one wanted to serve the beer to the huts because "theyre busy". Busy sitting in the room behind the reception area.
The bankero and his companion did not even bother to actually tour our group. They took us to an island and let us off not even talking abt where we were and where was a good spot to snorkel. We were taken near capones island and not ON capones to the lighthouse. We went snorkeling in the area where he did not even anchor the boat and it kept floating further from our group of which aside from the 2 toddlers also consisted of 6 teenagers from 12 to 16 yrs old in the waters of South China Sea. Both of them did not even assist in getting us on or off. And ine casually said after we mentioned something abt jellyfish, "ah yes there are some over there" my cousins scrambled toward the boat when he said that. We paid 3200 with only a couple of snorkel gears (half snorkel gear actually), unsafe life jackets and a half hearted island hop.

I had been to zambales many many times before, iba and subic and other towns. Our family even hopped to potipot way before it became popular. May i mention potipot is 6 hrs from manila but we had a wondeful time at dawal resort there that i had to go back and bring my team.

It is sad that canoe resort staff and boatmen cant even properly tour the visitors there. The islands and the view are well worth the visit. Its no el nido but if the people loved the islands and its waters as much as the people of el nido and other island destinatins do theirrespective town, they would hav given their visitors more reasons to go back and appreciate their place. The water beachfront was okay. but the water had lots of plastic and other trash, my cousins started picking them up and setting them ashore. Waves were strongbut we expected that. Alhough the staff wasnt even sure how deep and how strong the waves were because "theyv never swam inthe waters" It was so obvious that it was all abt the money. This and other resorts like them cause the decline of so many beautiful places before them.
The only thing that made evrything worth it was the time spent with family and the beautiful sunset.
It was such a disappointment. I will never go back.

Basic amenities, no corkage for food, inexpensive food/drinks, courteous staff, clean rooms, nice pool, nice room, nice mountain view, this place is just nice and simple and affordable. I like the fact that they change their staff at night to men instead of women, I felt more secured.
