“One of the best Moray Firth/Banffshire coastal town cottages”

Brian was extremely helpful and reliable in terms of contact and support to answer queries before the stay itself including mentioning about parking, all at short notice.

We were looking for a small but modernly furnished cottage in a peaceful, coastal location on the Banffshire coast within easy reach of a larger town (Banff for bigger food shops and forgotten items) and lots to keep busy with in the outdoors. The location did not fail to impress, both when sat in the cottage staring for hours out to sea through the huge window, or further afield in neighbouring towns Crovie, Pennan, Macduff, Banff and villages inland....all serving their own delicious ice cream! We managed to get into Gardenstown Harbour Restaurant by accident due to a cancellation but best steak I have tasted in the whole world(!) and worth booking in advance. Lovely atmosphere and so friendly too, making a great evening. Watched the sunsets every evening (no rain all week in October!!) and walked along the beach in low tide, otherwise many seabirds diving for lunch and dinner too.

Property well equipped and bathroom lovely and large with rain shower, and comfy double. Great to have a dishwasher.

Due to spatial constraints not a large dedicated dining table, but we managed with just the both of us, and we could not locate the sharp knives but we got by again without too much stress.

Sure to return again :) Thanks for a great week.

“Secluded spot-Wonderful cottage”

Wonderful place to get away from it all, seldom had a more peaceful holiday. Cottage is in a fabulous location. The picture window gives a stunning view out to sea, something I never got tired of while we there. Local people are really friendly, particularly at the Spar shop, the only shop in the village!

The road? in front of the cottage is not for the faint hearted, we found it easier to park at the other end of the harbour.

Teapot1 is a lovely cafe, wonderful breakfasts! Also worth a visit is the pub Gardens Arms, lovely meal.

All in all a wonderful stay, would recommend it for anyone wanting to get away from it.

“Stunning in everyway”
Reviewed 8 April 2016 for a stay in February 2016

This was one of our best family holidays. The house was perfect in every way.We especially loved the incredible views from the picture window. It was ever changing and we could literally spend hours looking out. The wood burning was a fantastic addition even although the underfloor heating was already toasty.

The cottage was well equipped and we were delighted with the soft towels and the luxury bedlinen. What a treat.

We had fantastic days out to the old pool at Tarlair, Troop Head, walks to Crovie and the old church on the hill ( views are incredible)... Our favourite activity was spending time in the local pub. The owners or so incredibly friendly and showed a particular welcome to out two girls.

Thanks also to Brian. His pre holiday emails were so helpful and he continued to help us on return by sending back an item left behind.

Don't hesitate to book this delightfully place. You wont be disappointed...
