“Just a perfect place!”
Reviewed 6 January 2014 for a stay in December 2013

We have stayed in this cottage in the summer and came back again to stay over Christmas. You can't get much better than this. Lovely cottage, very clean with all you need. The views are stunning and it is a fantastic base. Walk to Crovie along the sea path or when the weather is at its best just sit on the harbour, read a book and watch the world go by. Everyone is freindly, locals and dogs! Go to Cullen and sample the Skink - which is delcious or Elgin if you fancy a bit of retail therapy and diffent shops - bring back a haggis to thank your neighbour for looking after the house.

“This was our perfect place to stay”
Reviewed 24 October 2013 for a stay in October 2013

What a fantastic cottage and surprisingly spacious. It has everything you need and is comfortable, clean and welcoming. We had planned to go out for dinner both evenings but as the cottage was so cosy and has everything you need - we just stayed in. Two days wasn't enough! We were sad to leave but hope to return soon.

“great cottage in a great location”
Reviewed 19 October 2013 for a stay in October 2013

We really enjoyed our stay at Harbour Cottage Gardenstown. The cottage itself is so well equipped i couldn't think of a thing that was lacking. I really liked the open plan kitchen/living area where there is very comfortable seating and it's nice and cosy. Up the spiral staircase is a nice bedroom with a very comfortable bed. Off the bedroom is the toilet, shower unit plus a huge bath. If you like coastal views this is the area to be. It is the best self catering cottage we have ever rented.

“Romantic cottage, perfect for two!”
Reviewed 1 October 2013 for a stay in September 2013

Harbour Cottage is a cosy, wee place with everything you will need for a perfect holiday.
The cottage is very comfortable & warm with a beautiful bedroom & stylish en suite. It has a really well equipped kitchen & sitting room with a super book/cd/dvd library.
It is a two minute walk to Gardenstown harbour which is such pretty spot or a ten minute walk to the beach. We loved our stay in Harbour cottage & look forward to going back!

“Amazing week's holiday!”
Reviewed 25 September 2013 for a stay in September 2013

Harbour cottage is a beautifully presented and beautifully situated cottage in what I would consider to be one of the loveliest places on earth. I took my husband who had never been to the area before and he, too, fell in love with the area. The cottage had absolutely everything you would expect from a holiday cottage - and more! It was absolutely spotless and had quite a few non-perishable items already there which could be very useful if arriving at the weekend. We found the Spar shop at the top of the village very well stocked and we used it most days. It is lovely to be able to walk out of the door and straight on to the harbour edge and have a nice flat walk along the Seatown. A lovely place at any time of year.

“Fantastic cottage and location.”
Reviewed 5 August 2013 for a stay in July 2013

Harbour cottage is a well equipped comfortable cottage. I stayed with my husband and two dogs. It sits one road back from the harbour, has beach views from the bedroom window and is a very short walk from the beach. Local people were extremely friendly and helpful. There is a 'summer' tea room (Harbucks) on the harbour which is well worth a visit...........no set prices just a suggested price list and donation box. There is also a superb restaurant on the harbour called Harbour Restaurant. This is not open everyday and gets booked up well in advance. Gardenstown and neighbouring Crovie are beautiful, quiet and relaxing. It also makes a great base for driving out to see other local areas. There is only one convenience store at the top of the village which wasn't particularly well stocked but Banff the next main town is only about a 15 min drive away. There is a quirky 'shop' next to Harbour Cottage called 'British Gnome Stores'...............mmmm a bit difficult to describe really.......some second hand stuff ..........some new stuff and some homemade (sort of ) gnomes!
A boat trip 'Explorer' sails from the harbour' We had a lovely 2hour evening trip to Troup Head giving good seabird photo opportunities.
We would definitely stay at Harbour Cottage again.
