Had a lovely stay (2 adults and 2 children) at the Lea Marston Hotel first week in July it was a great base for us visiting Thomas Land (Drayton Manor) close to Birmingham Airport (travelled from Ireland) and only ten minutes from Thomas Land. Kingsbury Water Park (great playground and Echills Wood Railway ) is only down the road also. Hotel was a great retreat for us after the hustle and bustle of the theme parks and the kids loved the indoor pool. Food was lovely we ate in Hathaways Bar a few nights we were impressed with the childrens menu, there was a great selection on it. Staff were all so nice and kind to the children. We will be back....

Room Tip: We stayed in the Kensington Suite big couch bed for the kids in separate area loads of room well wor...

Excellent welcome by very professional and friendly front desk staff. Full explanation given of all facilities at the hotel, easy check in and given wifi passwords. Room was ok but nothing special and bathroom looks a bit dated in standard rooms. Plenty of parking and other good facilities.

I stayed here on business with a group of about twenty and overall it was an excellent stay.
Parking was easy and the reception was swift and efficient. My room was splendid, very clean large and comfortable.
I did not use any of the hotels facilities but we had dinner there as a group and normally hotels like this struggle generally with large groups. Not here, the service was fantastic and the food very very good indeed.
Breakfast the next day was cooked to order and again very good.
Stay here you will not be disapointed.

Celebrated a surprise birthday party here for my son. The staff were amazing in helping us keep it a secret to the very end. Massive thank you to Gemma who organized and planned the whole event with us. Special thanks to Luke Davies who looked after us on the night. He was so helpful and nothing was too much trouble for him. Thanks to Jason Shorthouse too and a special thanks to Emma Cheshire who ended up with us in the residents bar at the end of a long evening. Her smile and patience and her professionalism dealing with some party members who were a little worse for wear. Thank you.

Now to the room and breakfast - just one word. Fabulousous (if this is a word ha ha)

Normally we just come regularly for Sunday lunch which is fantastic. Now my plan is to come back and stay over so I can use the SPA facilities

Room Tip: Rely on the really helpful reception staff 's advice!!

Light at the end of the traffic tunnel saw us reach the sanctuary of the Lea Marston for the Commando Veterans Association weekend to celebrate Armed Forces Day at the National Arboretum. This was my second year at this excellent hotel the first year spent wife my wife in a double room. The rooms I experienced on both trips were superb, lovely décor, excellent comfort and good location looking out over the rear gardens and being within 2 minutes walk to the bar and restaurant. The food through out the weekend was of a high standard but special mention must be made of the breakfast. It was a full and sumptuous presentation that would meet the most diverse of tastes. The staffs attention to the guests needs was second to none and they must be thanked for their commitment, clearly they are both well trained and well led. All in all the weekend was a great success and ensured that we as a group will be returning year after year. Thanks most definitely to Heidi the manager who ensured our Saturday evening dinner party was great success

Room Tip: Rooms at the rear on the ground floor are perfectly for the elderly and they overlook the rear garde...

I stayed at the Lea Marston for 2 nights on business. I did not use the leisure facilities so can't comment on that side of the hotel. My room was upstairs over looking the gold course, nicely decorated and light and airy. Well equiped. I ate in the rather cramped bar both nights. A very limited menu. The steak on a hot stone was good and on the other night I had a Mexican platter though not sure what was Mexican about it. A word of warning the bar tends to fill up with golfers and it can be a bit of a scrum getting served. The ordering process was very clunky, not really set up for hotel residents. The quality of the breakfast was poor. I had a full English the ingredients of which were of poor quality. The continental breakfast choice was very limited. One doesn't stay here for the food. The Wifi service was abysmal - just didn't seem to work. The public areas were looking very tired and cramped. Corridors cluttered with stored furniture. One just got an impression that the hotel is a hindrance to the fact it is a golf club.

Room Tip: Upstairs away from the public areas are the best

Lovely hotel with very friendly and helpful staff. The Spa was lovely with excellent facilities, we particularly liked the large sauna and steam rooms. Our bedroom was nicely decorated and very clean. We enjoyed a pleasant drink in the garden overlooking the golf driving range. Overall a very pleasant stay.
