“Fantastic family stay”
Reviewed 7 August 2014 via mobile

Stayed here as a family with 2 children for one night before a day at Drayton Manor which is just 5 minutes away. I have to say everything was brilliant. We arrived around 1pm so had lunch in Hathaways which was great value and very enjoyable, staff were friendly and service was excellent. After checking in to a nice size family room we went off for a swim in the spa which again was enjoyed by all.
Then off we went to play the par 3 course, as a keen golfer I was highly impressed with the quality of the greens, and layout - far superior to your average, pitch & putt. The kids (and wife!) loved it too - what a great place to learn to play (range was first class too). The pro Shop lads - Dan & Harry were very helpful and made us feel very welcome, the shop has some bargains too!!
As our lunch was so nice we ate again at Hathaways in the evening. Sirloin steak was perfectly cooked, my wife enjoyed the Tuna and the kids menu went down well too.
Breakfast service and food was unsurprisingly brilliant (tall girl who looked after us was great).
check out swift and reception staff very friendly. Thank you Lea Marston, a lovely place to stay...we will definitely be back!

Had a 3 night stay in a lovely family room.
The room was clean, and a good size. I had a problem with the mattress but was solved after you first night.
The staff were all very friendly and very helpful. We purchased discounted Drayton Manor tickets from reception and they gave us directions on how to get there.
The pool area was a good size and my 8yr old loved it.
The only negatives I have to say is that the hotel is in the middle of nowhere and the food in the bar was over priced, overly pretentious and underwhelming.
We first had the Sunday roast, 2 very small slices of meat with a tray of veg to share. My husband had to ask for more meat as by the time he had cut off the fat from the lamb there was hardly anything left to eat.
Next I, a baked potato. It was very small incredibly soggy, and came with a tiny bowl of cheese and a dry salad in a mini colander. Not worth the £7. Same price for a sandwich which was for my 8yr old. My hubby had the fish and chips which he said was small but nice.
I ordered takeaway pizza one night.
We were overcharged for a bottle of wine(we charged it to our room) I noticed and alerted a member of staff who said they would sort it, but when we checked out it hadn't been.
All in all a lovely hotel with great staff but disappointing food.

I visited this hotel with a friend - meeting half way between our 2 homes. We wanted a hotel with a spa and somewhere comfortable where we could relax and catch up! This hotel was perfect!
The staff were extremely helpful and friendly and could not do enough to make your stay pleasurable.
The rooms are spacious and clean with all that you need for a few days. We ate in the bar area at lunch time - great sandwiches and the staff went out of their way to accommodate you. We spent some time out on the terrace and then visited the spa for one of their mud treatments!! This was excellent and the chill out zone was just that! We had a complimentary afternoon tea which was so huge we didn't t make it to supper! The attention to detail was amazing!
Breakfast was good - we were at the tail end but if asked, the staff got you what you wanted

Highly recommended!

Had a great deal for dinner, bed and breakfast at the hotel for Monday 4th August for my wife and me and have to say very well worth the price.

Reception check in very quick, friendly staff and able to get in to room 2 hours early. Room was very clean, only suggestion would be slightly bigger beds and a little softer mattress!

Spa facilities good, spacious sauna and steam room, we didn't use the gym, but this looked well equipped as well.

Had a snack in the bar and our dinner option was a 2 course waitress served A la carte option up to £24.95 allowance each. Service was prompt, food very nice and staff very prompt and friendly again.

Breakfast was waitress service again for full English or continental, with help yourself to cereal, juice etc.

Have to say we are used to buffet breakfast and this was a nice alternative. The food was quick, very well presented, hot and very tasty! Staff, as usual, very friendly and efficient.

All in all a fab stay, very much worth the cost, all staff very friendly and helpful, all areas spotless and highly recommended.

Room Tip: Request a big bed if you like the extra space!

We only needed somewhere for a couple of nights, 1st class, hotel and service. Would have happily stayed longer. Visited Drayton Manor, can get tickets from hotel. Pool and jacuzzi fab, although, some guest thought it nice to through balls at each other in the water, no so nice. A staff member did come and say to stop.

Having stayed at the Redditch Hotel several times we decided to try one night at the sister hotel. Built along similar lines and with spa and golf facilities it has just what we look for for a short break away. The room overlooked the driving range which was in constant use and we could also see golfers making their way to the nine hole Lakes course. I tried the pool but not the spa facilities ans enjoyed a leisurely swim. The evening meal in the Adderley resaurant [two rosettes] was very well cooked and tasty. Service was a little slow but this did not spoil the meal, breakfast the next day was more hectic but the buffet was well stocked and had plenty of variety.
My husband played the nine hole course twice but it was rather busy and periods of slow play spoiled the round somewhat. There is also a pitch and putt facility which gives plenty to do.

Room Tip: I think they are all good.

A gem- staff always helpful to an aged couple. Even golfers always polite when we take a walk on their territory. .Room comfortable with disabled facilities. Very handy as a halfway stop to London. Our tenth visit in five years.
