We stopped here mainly because I needed a toilet break. It looked very nice but I was a little afraid that it would be stylish but just the usual tourist food. I WAS WRONG!
The decor is stylish, tidy and well maintained. We sat by the waters edge where we could watch the fish in a pretty little harbour. We could see the resemblance of the owner with "Old man Tsegas" apparently it was his great great grandfather. Originally it was just a house and his gg grandmother would cook for the locals.
The menu was varied but obviously we had to have fish given the location. Prices ranged from 4 Euros to 50 Euros (for Lobster). Enough choice in each budget bracket without being overwhelming. We had a salad and small fry (translated as "smell"???) to share. I particularly appreciated that the waiter told us what was fresh and that the calamari was frozen.
The people near us had the seafood platter to share - it looked excellent but I hope they were hungry! Our fish was lovely and crisp so we only shared a little with the 4 cats who became our new best friends. For dessert I had the best yoghurt yet - it was so thick I initially thought he had brought me ice-cream by mistake.
Unlike all of the resort restaurants we have tried so far this is definitely one we would recommend and one we would return to given the opportunity.
