Location 1 - Our room within the hotel was perfect. We were room 215 (I think) which was on a corner with large balcony to two sides facing East (neighbouring hotel and area ) and South (entrance and approach to hotel), so plenty of light and sunshine and a great sea view. Very spacious and quite modern, with the usual kitchen facilities (we were provided with a kettle as soon as we asked for one) and a corner shower cubicle in the bathroom. Wi fi was excellent in all areas of the hotel, including on the beach. The whole hotel was kept spotlessly clean.
Location 2 - The hotel in relation to Kissamos was also perfect. On the edge of the resort, with it's own beach and with Sunny Bay hotel accommodation one side (and we didn't have any noise issues like one or two other reviews mentioned) and the town's football stadium on the other side
which was in use most evenings for local teams' training. The town centre with shops and the beach-side tavernas were a very easy 5 minute stroll away, so ideal for a relaxing end to the day. There was plenty of car parking space, and a very comprehensive breakfast was provided at a reasonable price (although we aren't big on breakfast, so just catered for ourselves). There was a TV and a PC for guests' use in the large communal area which was very useful
Location 3 - Kissamos itself is very well positioned for the West and South coast beaches , Palaiochora, Elafonisi, Falasarna and Balos beaches . It is also very easy to get to being at the end of the New National Road and an easy drive from Chania.
And last but not least a special mention for the wonderful hosts, Manolis and Yiorghis and family who went out of their way to make sure all their guests had the best possible stay in their lovely, contemporary hotel. We stayed here for 4 nights in mid Sept. but wish it had been longer, so will be sure to include a stay here next time we holiday in Crete.

Room Tip: Corner rooms have larger balconies

We loved every moment of our stay at the Galini Beach Hotel.
Friendly, courteous service from beginning to end of our holiday. The staff were very helpful and did everything they could to help us enjoy our holiday.
Rooms are spacious, exceptionally clean and very comfy beds. Hot water always available and everything fully functioning.
Delicious breakfast served on the patio overlooking the bay.
We will be back!

Our family of 3 stayed at Galini Beach in a economy twin for 8 nights leaving 3 Sept 2013. The hotel service was professional and very friendly throughout. The room was very clean and all the facilities worked very well. The shower was always hot and the air con was as cold as you wanted. We all slept well listening to the waves hit the beach. Breakfast was plentiful, enough for both a breakfast and a packed lunch during the day. For (lunch or) evening meals there were plenty of seafront tavernas and bars within 10 minutes walk. We hired cabs (from the hotel) to get around the area and this proved very economical. For example one of the best seafood restaurants, which we went to twice, is in Kissimos port - which is the other side of town and too far to walk - but only cost us €5 each way by cab. Our airport transfers were €65 each way. Our little girl Esme loved playing with and feeding the four lovely cats in the hotel. There is no swimming pool in the hotel but the hotel's beach front always had plenty of spare umbrellas and beds and space for our exclusive use. I suppose there were about 10 umbrellas (+2 beds per umbrella) in total and there were always about half of them not being used. The water then was a fantastic 25c. We would definitely go back to this hotel, and we might even treat ourselves to a family room as well - fantastic.

Room Tip: I suppose the best rooms are those facing the sea directly which is North, so cool as well. The roo...

We have spent one week at Galini Beach and have strongly appreciated the deep courtesy and professionality of the owner and the whole staff and availability to satisfy any guest request.
One evening we even asked to have dinner on the terrace outside in front of the beach and they accomodated us with any facilities and support.
Extreme cleanliness of the rooms and of the reception floor and courtesy of the whole staff to give us any useful suggestions on beaches, restaurants, attractions.

Me and my wife visited Crete at the beginning of June. Our plan was to travel around at see at least half of the island during our short one week holidays. In total we stayed in three different places and Galini Beach Hotel was the best. I have to say that it was one of the best hotels we stayed so far. We were welcomed very kindly and reception was fantastic even though we did not make reservation at we arrived late in the evening. The only think that we expect from places where we stay is cleanliness and Galini Beach Hotel is among our top the cleanest hotels.
Breakfast was repetitive but the view from dining room and nice service make that breakfasts very special. I appreciated also good swim in warm water just before breakfast just 20 meters from hotel.
Our excellent rating goes mainly to the family that run this amazing place. They were all fantastic - always helpful and willing to talk about Crete. Thanks to them we ate one of the best food in Crete (friend's restaurant "in school class character"), saw small and the most beautiful beach and had very good time in general.

It is very quiet and home-like family hotel, located 10 minutes walk from the Kasteli town, directly at the sandy beach. During the nights you will hear nothing but the sea. The family is amazingly nice and mindful. You can be sure that they will do everything for you. I can recommend Galini Beach as the best hotel in Western Crete.

Spent two weeks with friends in July, Manolis and his family couldn't do enough for you, they even took us to a restaurant in the hills called Agatho the best Greek food , we had tasted(not to be missed). The rooms are spotless as is the rest of the hotel. The breakfast is good value though repetitive, I agree with twilight London that a little more character would not be go amiss.
