We spent one week at Sirena. This was the first season this hotel was opened, and everything was nice and new. We got to know the local family that had it built and that is now running the place with the help of a few employees, and they really made us feel welcome. Basically, anything you ask, you get. Unlike many Greek hotels, they have put the emphasis on quality of infrastructure and service. I mean, when was the last time you slept on a Dunlopillo bed at a hotel on a small Greek island? The rooms have top of the range furniture and fittings (the kitchen area was better equipped than my own at home). The area where the hotel is located is very quiet, and from your room, you either have view on the swimming pool, or olive tree fields or the sea. We tried the hotel's spa and gym (that one is free for hotel guests!!), with no disappointment. Marathokampos is rather low-key, meaning that it is family friendly and it is possible to eat well for not too much money. If you are a hiker, Samos has loads to offer, but don't go in July/August as it'll be too hot for anything else but "farniente" (beach, pool, naps)... if you go there as a couple, ask reception to transform your two twin beds into one rather large double bed... more romantic! I have uploaded one photo but more are available on the hotel's web site (www.sirena.gr)...

We spent almost one week in this brand new and elegant resort in Samos at the end of September. The room was very nice with a big balcony where we enjoyed the beautiful view of the sea and surroundings. In the morning breakfast is served at the edge of the beautiful swimming pool in the middle of the residence, where during the day chairs and towels are available for a relaxing sunbathing. Within the resort there is also a very charming spa where we chilled out for a few hours. The owners and the whole staff were very kind and helpful giving us information and tips on things to do and visit nearby.
