We stayed here for 2 weeks at the end of June 2012 and couldn’t recommend the accommodation enough.

Being on the outskirts of the village, near Chesters, meant that it was in a quiet location but bars and tavernas were still only a short walk away and the closest supermarket is literally at the end of the road (approx. 50 yards).
The accommodation is by far the best equipped we have experienced in self-catering accommodation in Greece (and have in total visited about 10 times). From the standard crockery and cutlery to a kettle and hair dryer, there really wasn’t anything that we would have needed but didn’t have available. The fridge even incorporates a freezer section as well.
The apartment we had was very spacious (basically 2 studios with a connecting door) and there was also a table for eating indoors. It featured a generously sized patio with outdoor furniture which was lovely and shady from late morning.
The complex as a whole is well maintained and all outdoor areas were cleaned daily. Also, the pool was nice and clean, and offered plenty of sun beds. It was never very busy as the majority of guests seemed to prefer the beach.
There is even a little playground, consisting of a seesaw, swings and roundabout which our toddler made use of too.
Free Wi-Fi is available in all the public areas and further shady seating is offered not for from the pool.
Manolis and his family couldn’t have been more welcoming and hospitable. On our arrival, we found a bottle of water in the fridge (just what we needed after travelling in the 36 degree heat) as well as some vegetables which Manolis grows himself. Throughout our stay, we were further supplied with vegetables and also eggs which made a lovely breakfast.
With regard to tavernas and bars, there is a bar just next to the supermarket (unfortunately, I don’t recall its name) where you can enjoy a nice leisurely drink in the shade. Further into the village is a bar called Rendevous, run by a very friendly British couple, which we visited several times. They offer a quiz on Wednesday nights as well as a large selection of cocktails ;-) For food, we liked Nick the Greek which is particularly good for fresh fish (make sure you check out the fresh fish counter as it’s not listed on the menu), Blue Bucket (nice for traditional Greek cuisine as well as grilled meats) and Bill & Salome (you must try his own wine, very nice just like the food!).
Chesters offers food all day long along with comfy sun beds for Euro 5 per day or free with your breakfast before 11am.
We found the best way to stay at this accommodation was to book direct with Manolis (website: www.albatrossvillage.gr) and book flights only with Thomson.
In summary, we will definitely be returning to the Albatross.

My husband and I stayed here in July 2011, booked as a package holiday through Thomson in the UK. You get exactly what you pay for here, we ahve stayed in quite a few self catering apartments throughout the Greek Islands and this was one of the best. Our room was basic, as expected, but very well equipped. Comfy beds with a decent size kitchenette area and a large fridge/freezer. Large Room and a nice patio area overlooking the pool. Very clean and towels/sheets changed twice a week. Apartment area was also very well kept with a decent size pool with loungers.

The apartments were a short walk to the beach and the tavernas. Beach is a mixture of sand and shingle and sunbeds/umbrellas were readily available from the tavernas along the beach for 5 Euros per day. Taverna's were all great, there are plenty to choose from within a 10-15 minute stroll and every one we ate in was very good. There are 3 supermarkets, one a stones throw from the apartments and a lovely bakery further up the road

Resort is quiet, no nightclub scene - so all in all a very relaxing holiday. Given this 'hotel' top marks, not because it's 5 star luxury but because it was exactly as described and exceeded my expectations

A basic self catering apartment. One of 12 that make up the hotel. A blue pool virtually to ourselves. Few English people, mostly Czechoslovakians and Scandinavians. Some great tavernas to choose from, especially the family run BLUE BUCKET and the English speaking CHESTERS run by Canadian twins. Everyone very friendly. No discos or noisy bars. Very close to the sea which was wonderfully warm.
