“A wonderful place to Honeymoon”
Reviewed 18 November 2012

We wanted a short trip to celebrate our honeymoon and we weren't disappointed. The hotel knew it was our honeymoon and upgraded us to a suite with Champagne, Chocolates and strawberries and treated us to a massage and entry into the Grotto.
The hotel is beautiful, the staff really friendly with good English and there was a free shuttle to the railway station so we were also able to visit Lucca and Florence on two wonderful day trips.
The thermal pools were amazing and we came home feeling rejuvinated after the hectic run up to the wedding.
We would thoroughly recommend the hotel

fine & healthy place to be, lovely surroundings, hot thermal pools (a small one exclusively for hotel guests), spectacular grotto, good kitchen, friendly staff, but (unexpected) relatively small rooms. WiFi was for free, but was functioning hardly anywhere in the hotel.

Room Tip: ask for room at front, NOT mountain view (= laundry view)

Late 20's couple - stayed on the second to last day of our honeymoon on a last minute whim. Booked two massages, half board and the "taste of spa" package which is good value as it is half price for the grotto/thermal pools. Fitness center needs more aircon and more free weighted bars. Excellent service from all the hotel staff. Be warned, if you ask for a gin and tonic at the bar you will get about three ounces of each and a 13Eur price tag! (I should have been more specific I guess?). Grotto is fun and the thermal pool with jets is pretty cool. Would def have stayed one more night but we are a little thrifty and our hotel in Florence could not be cancelled. We left feeling completely relaxed!

Loved the staff, loved the place, loved the room, loved the breakfast and the dinner we had there, and the grotta is amazing and unexpected. We spent 3 days in thermal pools cleaning our souls, and next time I intend to be there at least 5 days!

We stayed at Grotta Guisti after biking all week in Tuscany. Great way to end our trip. Treatments were great as well as the cave. We ate dinner 2 nights at hotel and had a great meal each time. Great salad bar and healthy choices.

I travelled there for business. Rooms are average, but not worth the money you pay. If you choose a superior room you can have termal water in the private bathroom.
Terms are nice and clean. the route in to the cave, going from the coldest to the warmest one is really nice and different from all other termal structure. unfortunately I couldn t switch off the air con from my room, and I was so cold during the night. by the way a nice place to stay, on the average.

Stayed 3 days in this hotel.
It's a nice hotel but the facilities are a little limited.
We had bad weather so we couldn't really make use of the 2 outdoor pools and there was not much to do inside, no pool or gym. Bar didn't open until 5pm.
There was also a charge to use the grotto even if you are a hotel guest.
There was hardly any info on things to do in the surrounding areas.
The staff were very nice.
The rooms were nice and if the weather had been nice I'm sure we would have had a lovely stay. It's only 50 mins from Florence and Pisa but you would really need a car to stay here.
