Definitely not a Hilton Hotel. Very old world charm with lots of heave timber and more like a classic ski chalet in design. We had dinner and breakfast here. Food like everything else was simple but adequate. The real reason for staying here is to experience a bit of the monastic life and enjoy the atmosphere of the adjacent monastery. Great to be able to wander around the ancient buildings in the early morning light.
There was a mix up with our booking which was done as an exchange of emails. Seems a change of management had resulted in our booking not being recorded. Significant drama when we arrived but they managed to find us some rooms on the top floor that appeared to be for groups. Worked out fine but probably worth checking your booking close to arrival.
Wifi supposed to be available throughout building but only worked near reception.
