“Lovely situation”
Reviewed 5 June 2014

Views in every direction make this the place to go for a special occasion i.e.last night of your holiday as we chose to do. We were brought a little dish of tapernade & four tiny quarters of tomato to share between four which was a bit odd and there was no friendly vibe when offered red, white or rose. Still or sparkling water. It is all inclusive at 31.50 euros each which is good value but not bargain basement enough to feel you're on the cheapie option. The starters were delicious, goats cheese and onion tart and we all followed with the duck in orange sauce. It was brought quickly and a little break would have been good. As soon as it was cleared, four little dishes of pudding were laid down in front of each of us without a word. We were fine that there was no choice of pud but again the manner was verging on the "that's what you get" feeling.
If there hadn't been four of us, enjoying the company and the wine of course, it would have been very flat, even with the view. The total bill with tip was 140.00 euros, so a smile thrown in would not have gone amiss.

“Excellent views. Good food. Friendly and attentive service”
Reviewed 2 June 2014

La Llonja is located behind the Pollenca yacht club affording diners beautiful views of the mountains to the rear, the harbor to the front and Pollensa bay to the side. The restaurant is situated on the first floor of a cafe / bar and comprises two seating areas, one indoor and one outside.

The outside terrace is where you really want to be in order to savor the harbor views and watch the boats, yachts and harbour activities.

Menu wise there is a typical Mallorcan menu del dia plus a la carte. The price difference is not huge and all our diners opted for a la carte. We also had a three year old with us and the restaurant was more than happy to help ensure that he was looked after and not left feeling bored.

Fish is obviously fresh here with a live tank inside. We all opted for various fish dishes, sea bass, mixed white fish and prawns. The general consensus was excellent food, well seasoned, well prepared, well cooked and well presented. The only gripe was perhaps a touch too much salt on one of the plates.

Definitely a worthy stop off for dinner if staying in Puerto Pollensa and actually worth a special trip if not. The views are tremendous. I would say however, that out of consideration for other diners, this may not be the best place to come with small and, or noisy children as the atmosphere is definitely tailored to allow for romantic absorption of the views, sights, sounds and smells of the port.

“Amazing views”
Reviewed 30 May 2014

This restaurant definitely has the best views and our groups of friends decided on impulse to lunch here. We ordered some salad, mussels and the black paella. The food was beautifully prepared, although a bit on the expensive side (but this was expected). The service was good and attentive.

My only gripe is that they were soooo stingy with the seafood in the paella. The server carefully plated to make sure everyone got at least a bit of everything of offer, but not nearly enough seafood were included (hence the average rating for the food). Everything else was great though.

“Pleasant restaurant, great location!”
Reviewed 26 May 2014

I had contacted the restaurant beforehand to book a table on the upstairs terrace for our anniversary and they couldn't have been more helpful and accommodating.

In the event, it was a bit too chilly to sit outside and we got a lovely table overlooking the mountains inside. The 31.50 Euro 3-course menu option is very reasonable (my seafood gratinée starters were particularly tasty; my husband's chilli con carne ok but not exciting; the rabbit was a bit too greasy for my liking). This includes a half bottle of house wine which was more than satisfactory.

Our desserts arrived with a "Feliz anniversario" chocolate sauce writing on them which we thought was a nice touch! All in all, a lovely restaurant for a special occasion.
