“A few improvements would make a big difference”
Reviewed 17 June 2014

We had an apartment on the second floor so had a lovely view of the beach.
The apartment was clean and well maintained, the bathroom especially the powerful shower is great. The kitchen has everything you need but is tiny, we only ever have breakfast or snacks in the apartment so wasn't a problem, but I'm sure it would be if you wanted to prepare a family meal.
Storage is the biggest problem, as there was only a single wardrobe with two tiny drawers, it was a struggle for just me and my husband, but would have been a nightmare if we had been here with our two children, there is plenty of room in the living area where storage could be included. Lovely big flat screen TV, but only English speaking channel was Sky news, so a bit disappointing.
For us the location is great, accross the road from the beach and a short walk into the main town, but with a few bars close by.

We were lucky and were allocated a room on the second floor (room 23). Lovely view and away from the road. Everything was clean and well maintained. I enjoyed an early morning swim each day in the pool which was lovely and fresh with not too much chlorine. Most of the time we crossed the road and bathed in the sea.
Beautiful part of Majorca, quiet and scenic. Would recommend these apartments for couples or young families.
Thank you to Pedro and the team.

Had a great 5 days at Bellamar towards the end of May. The staff were all friendly and welcoming, the apartment was comfortable and clean with everything you need for a short stay.

After arriving back in England I discovered that I had been careless enough to leave a camera lens in the room safe. I contacted the Bellamar immediately and they promised to speak to the cleaners and also to the guests that were now staying in the room.

At first the news was bad as both the cleaners and guests hadn't found the lens.

Fast forward 3 days and an email arrived from Daniel bringing the fantastic news that the lens had been found and handed in :)

Daniel then arranged for the lens to posted back home to me.

Thanks, Bellamar and thanks, Daniel!! Great service.

The apartments were nice inside. Kitchen a bit small but had everything you needed. Reception staff Daniel and Alicia were very pleasant and friendly. Good for couples or young couple with a small child.

Generally we were happy at Bellamar; the apartment was mostly clean, the shower was great, the staff friendly and we overlooked the pool. We enjoyed the location - the beach was quiet and it was a nice walk to the centre. There were some compromises and I wouldn't book again as a family ( I might as a single or couple). The majority of compromise surrounded the size! Our family consists of myself, my partner and our 2 year old. We had one small wardrobe to share, with a handful of hangers, and a couple of small drawers. This was the only storage space in the apartment. The bedroom was so small that the patio door hit the bedside shelf when opening (in fact it couldn't open in full). The kitchen contained 2 hobs, a microwave and a toaster for cooking - there was a sink, a fridge and 3 cupboards containing the bin, pots/pans and plates/glasses. We booked self-catering to self-cater and we managed, but at times it was a challenge. I would have expected somewhere to store food and a grill or oven. Despite the minimal space and storage, the place was cluttered with rather useless furniture; 3 coffee tables, 2 bedside shelves (so easily could have been storage), a desk & a dining table. We stored our food on the dining table and ate on the balcony. Generally the apartment was clean, although on the day we arrived the fridge had not been cleaned which was a little off-putting. The pool isn't heated and was a little cold in May, but we prefer the beach anyhow.

We stayed here in Mid May and had a lovely time. The apartment itself was clean and comfortable with a lovely balcony looking over the pool and out over the Port de Pollensa Bay. Very small kitchen area but adequate for our needs. Superb Power shower ensured you were refreshed every day.
The reception staff were very friendly and helpful.
My only minus point would be that the outdoor pool is not heated and was freezing during May. There is some traffic noise and there is a bus stop outside the apartment but this not bother us.
There are supermarkets nearby. Best to avoid the local Spar stores as they are expensive but rather shop in the Euroska stores. There is a large branch on the outskirts of the resort which has a large Deli.
It is a pleasant ten minute stroll along the beach front to take you into the centre of the resort. Port de Pollensa is a very relaxed and upmarket area suitable for couples and young families. Good selection of Restaurants and bars with a laid back atmosphere. There were no dreaded Hen or Stag Parties to be seen !
I would happily recommend the Bellamar Apartments however judging by other reviews of over booking it would be prudent to email prior to arriving that your booking is in order which is what we did.

Room Tip: Request a sea view room

We stayed here in April 2014. We were in Apartment 1 which is situated directly behind the reception area. This meant we could hear every conversation and we could even hear the receptionist blowing their nose such was the thinness of the walls. We were so relieved we had brought ear plugs with us as otherwise sleep would have been impossible.

This apartment has little natural light. The bedroom window looks directly into the reception area. The patio doors look out onto a very high wall with a hedge on top which is about 10 feet from the patio door. It does not get the sun so not pleasant to sit out here.

The apartment was advertised as sleeping 4 people. I would hate to think of having to spend 2 weeks in this apartment with myself and 2 children. The bedroom is so small that there is just about walking room around the bed. There is 1 double wardrobe and a suitcase stand. I have no idea where you would store clothes for a family of 4 for 2 weeks.

The kitchen had probably the best kitted out kitchen I have ever stayed in, in a self catering apartment. The power point to use the kettle or toaster was right beside the hob so it meant you had to be really careful to use the kettle first and obviously you couldn't sit it on the hot hob.

The Bathroom was very modern with a large walk-in waterfall type shower. Toiletries were provided.

The apartment was furnished in Ikea furniture with a large flat screen tv. We could not find any English speaking channels on it.

The apartments are located at the edge of town so it is a 10-15 walk into the centre of things. We didn't mind this as it meant it was quiet.

The staff were friendly and housekeeping was more than adequate.

I imagine if we had been given a higher floor or a ground floor with a better view we may have had a more positive experience. Even so we would not dream of recommending this apartment for anything other than a short break as it is way too cramped for a 2 week holiday.

The pool area is adequate in size for the number of apartments and the loungers are in great condition. The amazing sandy beach is just across the road. Most folk seemed to go over there.

Room Tip: You do pay more for a sea view but ask for a high floor
