Do not arrive late no hotel staff on,Only if the restaurant is open is someone about..We were given our room but the next day asked to move in a few days time.We did this only to come back later with no hotel staff on to find the key did not work.
The waiter phoned a rep from the agency we used. She came & was nasty & looking for an excuse to bail out.She ran of screaming I am not talking to you. When she calmed down she suggested we moved room ,,guess where, yes to the room we had just left.I got here to sign that we would not be moved again. The hotel staff said we would be given two days free the next time. The next day that went down to one. This hotel is right out off a TV series that we all know.
We will not be going. Also other guest were asked to move so I think they may have somrthing to add on this site..

Room Tip: avoid this hotel

We spent a fantastic week at the Galeon suites. The food was fantastic both breakfast and evening meal. Due to the size of the hotel the evening meal choice was limited to 2 choices,This was no an issue as the kitchen staff provided alternatives to the veterinarian option for our veterinarian. The rooms were fantastic, large beds and very clean. The staff were excellent and really looked after us, We are looking forward to our next visit,

This was our first vacation with our baby grand-child Eva, 6 month old, and everything was perfect. Very friendly and helpfull staff, big and very clean apartments, breathtaking view, delicious breakfast buffet and perfect location away from crowdy streets, but very close to the nearest shop.
We hope to come again as we feld more than welcome!!!!

Four of us stayed for a 5 day cycling holiday in April. The staff were amazing and helpful, giving us extra time to check out and a secure place to store our bikes.
Breakfast are amazing and worth the stay alone. Very creative, and plentiful.
The location is right on the front, over looking the lovely beach. There is a great restaurant right next door, or it's a 5 minute walk to the main other restaurants in town.
I'd really recommend this place and we'll be returning next year.

Room Tip: The room at the top has great views and access to the roof terrace

For my husband and I, other than a sea view and a good clean place to stay there is nothing more important to us on holiday than good food. We have stayed at the Galeon suites quite a few times over the last few years and to be fair I cannot say that the standard of the food has always matched the high standards of the rest of the hotel. All this has now changed and for the better. We stayed at the hotel for 12 days at the beginning of april and we were prepared to try the food from the new chef but equally we expected to still eat out at our other favourite restaurants, e.g Los Faroles, Si' urel, Cella para etc.
To our surprise and delight we ate every night and several lunch times at the Galeon. The chef Eduado has moved to the coast from their sister hotel Son San Jordi in Pollenca town, where his restaurant La Placeta is number 1 on trip advisor. The food is absolutely beautiful. We begin ordering mostly from the A La Carte menu, which is limited but better to start small and do it well, but within a couple of days Eduardo was out of the kitchen asking us what we would like that wasn't on the menu. What followed was a delight, night after night. When had slow roast shoulder of lamb, rabbit
both with onions and prawns ( on different nights) quail stew, tumbet, frito, as well as the freshest sea bass, dorada and prawns and the steaks including a T bone for my husband was the best tasting beef we have had in a long time and we pay a lot of money for grass fed organic beef in this country.
We felt spoiled and indeed we were but because this is an independent hotel and restaurant the chef is not constricted by corporate menus and mass catering.
We cannot recommend this new kitchen enough. It's not cheap but good food rarely is. But it is cooked with skill, a light touch with seasoning ( rare in a chef these days) and with love. Go there let Eduardo spoil you. Ask him to make you something that you want and he will make it special.
I would just like to also compliment Pablo at front of house. He waits on in a calm, friendly and efficient manner and he has a lovely sense of humour. Long may the standards that we enjoyed at the Galeon restaurant continue.

We just love El Galeon. The staff are friendly and very accommodating, the food good, the service never too much trouble.
It is situated right on the beach and you can eat breakfast on the terrace watching the sun rise over the bay. The walk to the middle of the Port is about a mile but it is lined with shops, attractions, restaurants and cafes, with an obligatory stop at the bridge to feed the shoals of fish.
You can drink coffee around the pool, a small private boutique affair, there are no crazy unreasonable rules or grumpy staff.
The rooms are wonderfully well finished, the kitchen facilities plentiful, including hob, fridge, microwave and washing machine. The bathrooms offer hair dryers , shampoo and soap etc so there's no need to bring or buy large bottles. Beds are proper beds not foam monstrosities and rooms are cleaned daily.
There is a room where you can leave bags securely on the last day, where you can also have a shower, meaning you can enjoy the holiday until the last moment, not having to wait around just babysitting your luggage until your flight. The towels are soft and fluffy!
In the wellness area, the seats are large and comfortable and the spa big enough for six.
Other visitors have built a library of used paperbacks and sometimes you can luck into a copy of Cosmo left behind! At night the hotel is quiet, not being in the centre of town. It is child friendly and really does feel like home.
Book early, the balcony rooms go very quickly.

Room Tip: Book early for the balcony rooms at the front of the hotel. The hotel is small so the rooms goo very...

We stayed at this hotel for the last week of October - in Suite 2 overlooking the pool.
A small and friendly hotel, right on the beach. It was a lovely relaxing stay, the hotel is clean and well kept. The roof terrace is fantastic. The staff are wonderful, nothing is too much trouble, they always had a smile and made us feel at home. Perfect for a laid back relaxing break.
The hotel is an easy 15 - 20 mins walk down the promanade into the harbour.
Will be returning.
