I chose these apartments as they were a good price for our family holiday. We have been to Mallorca many times and stayed at different locations. We stayed as afamily of 2 adults and 2 teenagers.

Ok, the apartments are basic but I think the price reflects this. After reading some previous reviews I think some people were maybe expecting 5* quality from a 3* complex.

The apartment was well equipped and everything was in working order. The tv didnt require a euro to work (some do) and the air conditioning wasnt charged extra (it sometimes is). The apartment was cleaned thouroughly every other day by a very friendly maid and to a good standard.

The bar staff were also very friendly and often chatted with guests making them feel welcome. The entertainment lady was brilliant with the kids and also did bingo and quizzes etc of an evening.

I must also mention how helpful the reception staf were when we mislaid our boarding passes to get home, they were re printed by them at no cost.

The hotel is about 10 minutes walk from the marina, but its worth it for the peace and quiet round the pool at the rear of the complex. Music is only played a the front pool so you can choose how lively you want your holiday.

We would definately use these apartments again, its clean, inexpensive, friendly and a great central base.

Room Tip: Great apartment but no hairdryer or iron - only downside

After seeing some of the reviews on here we were dreading our holiday but it just goes to show you have to judge everything for yourself. The rooms were better than we expected and had a nice size balcony and an invaluable drying area. We did get ants, a quick spray soon sorted that out though and they weren't an issue really. The staff couldn't have been more helpful when a problem arose and the staff on reception are multilingual so could translate when necessary. We found the food to be of a good standard and had a great variety out every night, you do need to get there sooner rather than later as some guests do like to go up quite frequently! My daughter is a vegetarian and again the staff were very helpful and accommodating. We had a good laugh with the bar staff and although a couple do not speak English we managed to communicate quite well and to be fair it's a Spanish speaking country so people shouldn't complain! The children's entertainment is great for the kids, we split our nights between there and the sister hotel, The Duva, just for variety really. We were in block P and after trying all 3 pools, the one nearest our apartment is the best and the quietest , unless you have toddlers in which case the one by the bar is best as that has the childrens shallow pool. Be prepared to get your towels out early as the fabric sunbeds go very quickly. If you need any supplies then the Eroski supermarket is cheapest but it is a 10 minute walk so go early before it heats up, the water is not that expensive from the shop opposite though. Puerto Polenca beach is beautiful and the sea is shallow quite a way out, again it is about a 20 minute walk from the hotel, the walk is down a dusty path next to a main road but it is quite safe, you can go the back way but it's longer and not that shaded. We really enjoyed our stay, we relaxed by the pool, were well fed and entertained and made lots of new friends. It's a 3* hotel but the staff, pool and air conditioning were 4* in our humble opinion! Oh and go see the Pirates, expensive but so worth it!! And avoid Alcudia, nice beach but just like Blackpool, the old town is nice though :)

We visited as a family of 5 in August on our first trip to Mallorca.
The good-
Air con was a great bonus
Good size accomodation
Close to a small supermarket
Pool very convenient
Some basic entertainment
Regular cleaning and towel/ bed change
Helpful staff

The bad-
A bit tired and tatty
On very busy main road
Long way from beach if have little ones 20 mins for little legs.
Not enough umbrellas by pool (3) or enough sun loungers.
Food and drinks expensive, taking advantage of captive audience.
Pool side bit cleaned daily.
When we arrived the pool was not clear. This was dangerous. Tool 2 days for engineer to come and rectify.

Have just returned from a 7 night family stay at the Habitat Apartments. Our first impressions on arrival was there was nothing near by, but was told by staff that the beach was 600 - 800 metres away about 10 min walk. The apartment was spacious and clean with poolside view. Friendly staff with lots of family and kids activities through the day and evenings.

There is a supermarket across the road but was a bit expensive and was told by another guest to goto a big supermarket just 5-7 mins walk towards the marina which was much cheaper.

The marina is a 10-15 mins walk good stroll inthe evenings for the shops, restaurants, bars.

We have just returned from a 2 week stay at the Habitat apts. We requested the quiet block after reading some reviews and knowing how close the main block was from the road and very luckily got one. We were in the block after the Duva in a lovely, modern 2 bedroomed apt for the 3 adults and 3 children travelling. After having a look round the whole hotel we were very glad to be here as the main one round reception was a bit shabby looking and the gardens were not as well kept as the quieter block which was immaculate. We were in a ground floor apt, a few steps from the pool which was surrounded by grass and plenty of sunbeds although there were still the pathetic minority who put the towels on the beds in the middle of the night almost. The apartments were fully kitted out for everything you need for a self catering holiday and the maid service was superb with clean towels almost daily.
We didn't go to the entertainment other than one kids disco so can't really comment on that. The kids loved it much more in the square in town playing with the local kids and enjoying the atmosphere. The square was about a 15 minute walk away (with small children) along the main road on the newly built pathway. You pass the Eroski supermarket which is about half price of the Spar across the road from the complex, so well worth a visit. If you visit the beautiful beach, take the road straight across from the complex and walk past the wonderful villas until you reach the Pollensa Park Hotel (about 10-15 mins with kids). The beach wasn't busy at all for August which was brilliant for the children to spread out and fly kites, play football etc.
The restaurants we visited were all very good value for money with many having set menus from 10 euros upwards with kids menus from 3.50. The cost of living we found to be very reasonable and even brought a little money home which is a first.
A trip to Pollensa is essential, but go when the market isn't on for a good stroll around and try climbing the steps as it's well worth it for the view at the top. Some fabulous restaurants there too.
All in all we had a really good holiday and would stay in these apartments again, but only if we could guarentee staying in the quiter block.

Room Tip: Quiet blocks away from the main one is much prettier and better kept.

The rooms were in need of updating and some money spent on them. However the staff could not do enough for you. Room was too close to busy road and bar was noisy at times. This said, pool was very good for the children but could have been a bit cleaner.

On the positive met some very good people and the hotel staff made every effort to make your holiday as pleasant as possible. 10 mins from excellent beach and great spot for touring. Recommend would hire a car to get the full benefit of your trip.

Stayed at the habitat for 2 wks in july, in a 2 bed appartment, rooms o.k bathroom bit small, air con was good.It was nice that there was 3 pools and you could use the sister hotel nxt door the duva. Lots of space around the 2nd pool to put your sunbed, thats if you could find a sunbed that wasnt broken, they were left every where that looked so untidy, sunbeds were filthy so was the poolside area litter left for days, only 3 umbrellas for the whole complex not gd if the kids wanted shade. The 2nd wk we were there the pool water was filthy think they attempted to clean it by throwing in loads of chemicals. The steps near the bar area were dangerous always wet and beer barrells left at the bottom (no common sense) Reception staff good the same cannot be said for the bar staff, who rarely cracked a smile appart from one who would be best described has Mateo from Benidorm. The bar prices were extortionate 3 euros for a sml fruitshoot, night time entertainment was terrible, would recommend going nxt door to the duva, grt bar staff too.The walk to town was o.k quickest way was towards the eroski on a bike track, buses were gd would recommend going to old town pollenca and alcudia. We ate in town most nights we liked the Dakota they had 2 restaurants in town, really liked port de pollenca and would return, but wouldnt return to the Habitat.
