“Basic accomodation & too far from the resort”
Reviewed 2 September 2013

The Habitat is just ok, we stayed bed & breakfast, which was a disappointment, not a big choice greasy bacon, fried eggs tomatoes toast, ( one toaster which holds two slices) for everyone. a small choice of fruit and small warm baguettes,2 bowls of cereal which I didn't try. breakfast ends at 10am, on the first morning we went down at 9.45 and there was hardly anything left, after that my husband never had breakfast there again he made his own in the apartment which had all the equipment. Apartments were too far out of the resort for us 20 mins walk to port and 20 mins walk to the beach, we didn't mind too much but we had elderly relatives with us and they couldn't walk that far. There is only one other bar across the road nearby, which does have a pool but food is only basic there, taxis cost 5 euros to port, there you can find loads of restaurants Rooms cleaned every other day, air con and good drying room. Pollenca is beautiful and would only stay in the port area if we went again.

Room Tip: Choose a quiet room away from reception and entertainment higher floors would have better views and...

Really enjoyed our holiday at the Habitat Apartments. Good clean accommodation with excellent air conditioning. Also has utility area with big sink and fast drying washing line! Apartments cleaned every other day - which is just right. The entertainment was excellent and good quality singers. Children's entertainment suitable for teens as well, archery, shooting etc. Lovely clean pool and plenty of sunbeds. Beach is about 15 mins away. Supermarket over the road, big supermarket about 10 min walk away. Our family of 5 all enjoyed it - kids 9 - 15 years and two forty something adults!

Room Tip: If you have kids you may want an apartment that overlooks the kids pool. If you are a couple you ma...

We returned from our 4th stay at the Habitat last week and as per usual we had a great time . Its like home from home every time and the staff welcome us like we are family...There were 11 of us including 3 kids aged 11 and 7 , in 3 apartments and we requested particular apartments around the main pool which we were given.
Ok , so it is a bit noisy however its ideal for us as we can keep an eye on the kids as this is where the main entertainment takes place. Although they met loads of friends this year and often went around the other pool , which is usually slightly quieter. More stuff going on this year for adults like the archery and the aquagym and Andrea did a great job of trying to involve everyone . Being around the main pool was also great in the evenings as we could sit on our terrace with our drinks and the kids could still run around with their friends .
Apartments are clean and maids were in every other day , cannot fault them at all. Ate in the restaurant a couple of times which was great but also went down to the town every other night to a couple of great restaurants in the square , however always back by 9.30 /1000 so kids could "hang out" ...All in all i cannot fault them..and we are already in the process of rebooking for next year ....!!

Was a bit concerned about the mixed reviews at these apartments but really needn't have worried. We were a family of 5 in a 2 bedroom apartment which was spacious and clean. The air conditioning is a huge bonus and the rooms and linen is changed every other day. The balconies are large and the apartment was well equipped, however we only had breakfast in ours. The pool area is clean with plenty of sunbeds and not overcrowded. The only minus for some people may be the walk to the cafes and restaurants which is a 15-20 min walk down a dirt track at the side of a busy road.. The walk to the beach is only about 10 mins and the beach is gorgeous. There's a bus stop outside the apartments which can take you to the old town which is very pretty although some of the restaurants are a bit more pricey here. Would stay here again.

Room Tip: We were right at the back of he complex,on the first floor over looking the pool...the other 2 pools...

We stayed here for a week and my first impression when we arrived was very good indeed.

I'd asked for an apartment at the back (for quietness) and I am pleased to say that was delivered and was a good decision. I think the back apartments are newer, thus benefit from better and newer stuff.

The pool was excellent as was the cleaning of the apartment (3 times) and change of towels. The a/c worked great to keep us cool too.

Drawbacks were:

1) No wifi signal at the back, so had to buy the Hotel Duva's signal for 30 euros!
2) Staff attitude was pretty poor. They really can't engage positively....
3) Why is it when we have spent all of this money upfront, we have to buy safe keys, wifi and remote controls on TOP???
4) Long walk to beach.

Overall though, a really relaxing place with great facilities. Despite the drawbacks, it is a lovely place to stay and I would recommend it to others.

Room Tip: Back apartments are newer I think, so are in better condition. BUT, no wifi there!

Clean comfortable apartment with air conditioning. As a family of 4 with 2 daughters aged 12 and 15 we all enjoyed our stay. We overlooked the main pool and although this was busy and fairly noisy enjoyed either watching from the balcony or participating in the varied entertainment offered. The balcony also meant our daughters had the freedom to take part in the entertainment on their own with the friends they had made whilst we could keep an eye from a distance. The beach was a short walk away and had plenty of bars and restaurants. The breakfast at the apartments was good, a hot cooked help yourself option with bread, croissants etc also available. This was easy for us but probably would go completely self catering if we went again as the smaller local and large nearby Eroski supermarkets were very accessible and had a wide range of food and fresh bread and croissants in the morning. The kitchen itself was very good, we had a grill/oven the size of a microwave, and two excellent electric rings on the hob. Also kettle and a toaster plus a decent selection of pots, pans, cutlery and crockery.
We ate from the bar twice and the food was reasonable and good value.
Lots of trips were available however the local buses were excellent value and air conditioned and made travelling around straight forward. We also took the local ferry to Formentor which was a nice day out but be warned the only café at the beach is very expensive (5.5 euros for a portion of chips!)

Room Tip: You can try and ask for quieter side - away from restaurant/bar. But I would not really worry too m...

As a family of 5 with youngsters between 11 and 16 we found the Habitat met our needs. The 2 bed apartment was clean and adequately equipped. Unlike some self catering we have stayed at in the past we did not have to be out at a certain time in the morning for the cleaners - they seemed to have a sixth sense as to when we went out. Room was cleaned and towels changed every two days throughout the fortnight even when this fell on Sunday. Reception operated 24hours per day and staff were always very friendly and helpful. When we first arrived we were disappointed that our room overlooked the road rather that the pool but as the holiday progressed we did not find this a problem and maybe even an advantage. Included air-con was definitely needed especially during our first week which was very hot. Various entertainments were laid on during the day and evening in the pool and bar area including keepfit, quizzes, disco, etc. My boy particularly enjoyed the reptile show that was in progress one night when we returned,
