Just back today from the Daina and would thoroughly recommend this Hotel. The location is great, the staff are friendly and efficient and the rooms very good with great new comfy beds. We booked a side sea view room and got 407 which was actually a 2 roomed suite with fantastic views over the marina to the front and the hills to the back. As others have mentioned, these rooms get the sun all day. This room is perfect if you are travelling with teenagers as we were as it is like 2 separate rooms with a closing door in between. There is also a separate door into the bathroom from each room and both rooms have a TV. The bathroom is huge with a bath with shower over, 2 sinks and a second shower. There is a hairdryer at the bathroom mirror and if you bring your own or your straighteners there is a plug right at the mirror in the loo!Very handy! The only downside is that the main course food could have been a bit better though the salad buffet and puds were great! Would go back again.

Room Tip: High up side view room.407 very spacious.

We have just returned from a lovely 12 days at the Hotel Daina. We thought the holiday was very good value for money. The price included free wi-fi, safe, fridge, fluffy dressing gowns and tea and coffee making facilities. Our room was very nice, we had opted for a side sea view, which ended up better than we had hoped for. We could see the harbour to the front of the hotel, and the mountains to the rear. We enjoyed sitting on the balcony in the evenings, watching the sun go down behind the mountains. As everyone has already said, the staff are all very friendly and helpful. The location of the hotel is very good, just two minutes walk from the centre of the town, and two minutes from the bus stop, from where you can access most local villages, and Palma. The bus service is very cheap and reliable, although it does finish fairly early in the evening. We loved the large, but quite cold, swimming pool and the patio area around it. Thank you to everyone there for helping to make our holiday so enjoyable.

Great central location. The recent refurbishment has created a lovely fresh hotel with probably the most comfortable bed I've slept in! Very clean. Staff were friendly and efficient. Room 406 was perfect - large side balcony with a wonderful view of the sea one way and the mountains the other - with a beautiful view of the sun setting each evening. Restaurant was fine and sitting on the balcony for breakfast was a treat. The pool is lovely and clean and lying on the sunbeds at the top end was like being in your own private garden with a breathtaking view over the marina. We would definitely come back.

Room Tip: Choose a room on floor 4 or above with a side sea view

This was our ninth visit to the hotel over 12 years. We were welcomed by reception staff who remembered us the waiters in the dining room were also very welcoming. We were delighted with the refurbished room which had a sea view. This hotel is unique as the staff have been there for many years and they really care about their customers and are eager to please we find the staff friendly and proffesional. The hotel stands in a prominant position at the start of the pine walk a very scenic walk around pollensa bay.We spent 11 nights at this charming hotel and we will be back in 2012.One example of the caring staff was my husband asked the head waiter if gaspatchio soup was no longer served he was told it had been removed due to it being unpopular the chef heard and from then he served my husband the gaspatchio every night a lovely gesture that was appreciatted. Our only small suggestion would be that there were more choices for the main course at dinner. All together a lovely well run small friendly charming hotel.

Room Tip: Pay the extra rate for a front sea view room views are stunning.

Booked this hotel over 12 months ago - at which point it seemed expensive for a 3 star hotel so was pleased to see it was upgraded over the winter! We have never stayed here before so cannot comment on what was actually improved. We had a large bathroom with 2 basins, bath with shower and a separate shower, plus the usual and a hairdryer - but it did not look as if it had been newly installed. However, the bedroom was certainly newly decorated and the bed was huge!
I was initially a bit disappointed as I thought I had booked (and paid !) for a room with a full sea view and we were given one at the side of the hotel - yes, we did have a sea view but could not see the pool at all! What we did have though was a small suite - a lounge with large sofa, flat screen TV, mini bar, and kettle. Also, the balcony was quite big and got the sun all afternoon and until 7.15pm which for us was preferable to the rooms at the front which lost the sun early afternoon.
Everthing was very clean and we found the bed comfortable - nor did we notice any noise outside at night - but we did keep the patio doors closed and the air-con on full blast!
I just have a few (very) minor complaints about the room- there was a shortage of drawer space for undies etc. and although there was a full length mirror in the bedroom there was no shelf nearby for cosmetics so make-up had to be applied in the bathroom in artificial light.
The dining room was large and spacious and there was the choice to eat outside on the terrace if desired - both at breakfast and evening meal. We were staying half board and have no complaints about the food - even at the end of mealtimes fresh supplies were brought out when required. There was not a huge selection of main course but the salad buffet was excellent!
I would crtainly choose this hotel for a return visit but the reason I queried the 4th star was because we arrived late and were unable to get an evening meal and there was no room service advertised or offered.

Room Tip: Ask for a high floor for the view and on the west side for the afternoon sun.

After 3 planes, arriving to find a small room with no water to drink, free internet for customers, noisy environment from the street, and unwilling staff.. I was highly disappointed. This stay was pre-booked from California and prepaid. The hotel staff where not user friendly. I asked to change rooms, and since it was full the person at the desk told me to call Trip Advisor or Expedia in my room that I did not want to stay in. The whole demeanor of the counter staff was offensive during my stay. They tried to charge me for the two calls I attempted to Expedia, and I declined payment, again a problem that they finally conceded to pay. The hotel is well located, but in a very congested area. The breakfast was okay. Final remarks to me were that I was a probkematic client since I had arrived.

Room Tip: Rooms on the side street are noisy. No gym facilities
