Really nice hotel. Rooms great size. Food was excellent and fantastic choice. Dinner and breakfast was buffet style and very fresh... hard to say no to so much great food on offer! The pool is a salt water pool and very nice. The hotel is located right is the centre of things. Very family friendly resort. Not for the club 18 - 30 people. Familys and couples will love it. Loads of great restaurants in the area. The pine walk is very nice. The local private boat trips are great... if you rent one I'd recommend getting one with a skipper who will know all the great spots... was a great day. Skipper was very helpful and friendly but also let you have your own day without intruding on your day.

Room Tip: Get one with a front sea or a side sea view... it was worth the extra. Great views from the higher...

Have recently returned from a stay at the Hotel Daina and booked on the basis of the Tip Advisor reviews. On request at booking, we requested a room on the 5th or 6th floor and corner if possible. However on arrival we were offered a room on the 1st floor. It was absolutely tiny, just enough room to walk around the bed. Considering what we had paid for the room, we were very disappointed. When I requested another room which was not right by the lift and on a higher floor, I was told there were no more rooms so that was that! The bathroom was a decent size though, enough for 2 adults to move comfortably around it, however it was very dated (a beige suite). Breakfast was average.... the usual, certainly not amazing. The pool was lovely and plenty of sunbeds (it was quiet as we were there in October). All in all we had a pleasant stay at the hotel but I would rate this hotel as a 3 star but would probably seek a hotel with larger rooms if we went back to Pollensa. Pollensa itself was perfect, lots of restaurants, shops and lovely views.

Have just returned from a 10 night stay and really glad we booked the Daina. The food and service could not be faulted and even special requests were dealt with quickly and always with a smile. It was nice to find free wifi at the hotel and also good tea making facilities in each room. Little extras like this can make such a difference. The only complaint would be that the rule stating that sun beds could not be reserved was not adhered to however sunbeds were not in short supply so it didn't really matter too much. I would definitely go there again.

Just returned from 10 days at the Daina Hotel. Content with Room 110 side sea view. Breakfast buffet, room facilities and room service were excellent. We appreciated the wonderful salt water pool and can concur the earlier comments about the superb guitarist on Wednesdays, and, the need for something to dry clothes on the balcony.

All Daina staff were most helpful and friendly they contributed to our brilliant holiday.

Room Tip: If one person is booking to occupy a room with a single bed, check the room rate. It may well be tha...

Just returned from a weeks stay at the Daina Hotel. We arrived at the hotel at 12 noon and our room was ready so we went straight up. We had booked a sea view room but both said "wow" as we walked into the room and saw the view. Our room was 304 and was a decent size with a nice size balcony. The bathroom was on the small side, but big enough for what we needed. The only fault i could find is that the room was cleaned quite late most days. All the hotel staff were very pleasant and helpful. An example was on the second morning at breakfast, I asked if they had any semi skimmed milk. I was told no, however it wasn't a problem as there was a large selection to choose something else. The next morning the Restaurant Manager approached me and pointed to a jug of semi skimmed, that he had requested the kitchen staff to buy. The pool is large and kept very clean. We never had a problem getting a sunbed, if you didn't want one with a parasol you could get one at any time of the day. My final comment is for the Wednesday night entertainment, Mariano Miranda, a brilliant guitarist. He had a large crowd watching him outside the Daina and when he finished the applause was tremendous. This was our first stay at the Daina but it certainly won't be our last, we are already planning a trip for next year. Congratulations to the Management and Staff on making the Daina a perfect place to stay.

Room Tip: Sea view room 3rd floor or above give excellent views.

Stayed in the hotel Daine from 07th Sept – 21st Sept and loved every minute of it. We booked a superior room with wonderful views across the bay. These rooms do not get the sun in the late afternoon/evening, book side and back rooms if you want late afternoon sun on the balcony.
The hotel had been refurbished since our last visit several years ago and looked marvellous. The rooms were very comfortable with all the usual equipment and a furnished balcony. The fridge and safe were at no extra cost. Rooms can be different sizes and shapes so if you aren’t happy request a move which is what people did while we were there, the hotel will accommodate you if possible.
All staff were very friendly and always smiling. Entertainment was about 5 times a week split between the hotel bar and the pool bar across the paved walkway (no traffic allowed).
The pool & pool bar area were lovely both day and night. We never had any problem getting a sun bed but earlier in the summer may be more difficult. €20 deposit for a towel which you can change throughout your stay and get a refund at the end.
We were half board and I must say the food was very tasty both at breakfast and dinner.
This hotel is well situated on the Pine Walk at the front of the resort and everything is close at hand. The local buses were 3-4 minutes walk away and you could travel all over the island at very little cost. Alcudia & Pollensa old towns were two beautiful places. We also did a 2.5hour glass bottom boat ride around the north of the island which was lovely and the boat was about 7-8 minutes walk away.
All in all we would go back to this resort and hotel as we just loved it and would highly recommend both

Room Tip: Front rooms have the view but no sun on the balcony in the late afternoon / evenings

Just returned from a weeks stay at the Daina, our first. Very difficult to find fault as the staff, food, pool area and location were all excellent, but I have to agree with some of the recent reviews. My wife and I were in room 506 (west facing) with a beautiful side sea view overlooking the marina and Pollenca Bay. The bedroom was a good size and had recently benefited from a 'make over' with modern fabrics, flat screen tv and a suspended fridge on the wall! What it lacked was storage space (see photo) except for four small drawers there wasn't any. OK for a week but difficult thereafter. There was a small wardrobe, just enough for us to hang our clothes on one side. It had shelves on the other side, but they were so shallow they wouldn't hold a folded T shirt. Beds were comfy, but air conditioning even when on it's lowest setting was noisy and the ceiling fan was suffering with a humming sound coming from a damaged switch, so sleeping was problematic.
The other disappointment was the bathroom which was tiny and I mean tiny. Same problems as mentioned in other reviews with the shower screen. You need to nimble and good on your feet! No bidet which for a supposed 4 star was a big let down.
In my view the "make over" to a 60's building has only been partially successful. An opportunity to make better use of space in our bedroom (and peeking into others) by incorporating additional storage has been missed. A wet room conversion or certainly just a shower cubicle would have made better use of the very limited space in the bathroom.

Access to the reception is at the side. The only road access is at the rear and parking is difficult and restricted so dropping suitcases off could be a problem. In our case I watched the hire car while my wife rolled the cases in. I then went to find parking while my wife checked in. I stumbled across the free parking about 10 minutes walk from the hotel . Maybe a map on the hotel website would be useful.

Would we go back? Yes for a week, because the pluses (including tea making facilities and free safe deposit box) out way the minuses and you could always try requesting a different room as some rooms are bigger.

Room Tip: Rooms at the front and facing west get most sun. Higher floors have better views. Rooms at the back...
