Having chosen to dine at the Miramar last year we hoped that booking to stay would be a good choice and we were not disappointed, joining a happy band of returnees of loyal guests. Our only mistake was booking for one week and not two, we really enjoyed it so much that the time flew by. A hotel that looks as classy as it is, complemented by the hardest working staff anywhere who were never once less than professional and pleasant despite the hard work they put in and in quite high temperatures. Rooms were spotlessly clean, with a fully equipped bathroom, air con, flat screen t.v. with many English channels, fridge and safe( safe at 14 euros per week). The daily set dinner of 3 courses plus appetiser, wine and water and bread couldn't really be beaten at 24 euros per head and the full menu has everything you could wish for, served in a stunning seaside terrace and generally with a flourish. Excellent choice of hot and cold dishes at breakfast which were constantly freshly replenished. Varied selection of fresh fruit and cereals and even the toaster works properly. Full marks to all the cleaning and maintenance staff- it was all immaculate. Located overlooking the bay and at the waters edge, with a beach terrace for the use of guests, the only drawback is its close proximity to the pine walk and the likelihood of being bitten by mosquitos -take plenty of repellents and bite remedies ( all available locally) Only a few minutes walk from all the local restaurants and shops. The best views are front of hotel sea views, floors 1 and 4 having terraces rather than just a balcony. Lively street market in the square every Wednesday, don't bother with the Inca market disappointingly full of mass produced imported goods although it is famous for its leather which is very pricey. The hotel is a short walk to the bus station and taxi rank plentiful and easy to use. No passing traffic as hotel is fronted by promenade. Super clean , friendly superb staff, excellently managed by a family who obviously care about their guests and staff. Book as early as you can as this hotel is obviously very popular.
