stayed at this hotel for the second time this year in august- the only problem we had the first time was the size of the room- quite small -this time we stayed in a 2nd floor sea view room with arched cover balcony- room 222 - above terraces - the room was fine this time, bigger as promised and we were able to move around more freely..... we arrived at the hotel about 11pm, the taxi driver- chisco {spelling maybe wrong} helped to bring in our luggage and we were dealt with by the night porter who didn't smile just asked us for our passports gave us our keys and told us 2nd floor, glad it wasn't our first visit - would not be a good first impression.a bit of P.R training wouldn't go a miss as all the other staff in this hotel are lovely - also it does'nt look good when he is smoking at the entrance of the hotel .. rooms are cleaned every day to a v.good standard though I would like to see the odd carpet stain removed- could get grubby looking + hotel reception area and landings are spotless....as for the cappuchino bar/ cafe - as good as the last time - Juan is a gentleman and his staff are a credit... the sun bed terrace we found was ample though some said it was small, we never had a problem finding a bed... the only problem we had--as did others--some residents of the hotel found it to be a good idea to feed the fish with bags of bread- the fish were like scavingers- it might be ok if these were like tropical fish but they are horrible black ugly things maybe a sign could be put up by the hotel not to feed the fish then I and others could enjoy going in the sea..the breakfasts were lovely and fresh, the pastries were lovely + served by three lovely girls CHRISTINA, PILAR + JOANA......last but not least - our last night was v.hot and the A/C went out of action that day but it couldn't be fixed till the next day- there should have been somebody available more quickly................we were here twice this year and we have booked again for june next year and cannot wait...so til my next review

Room Tip: book early for S/V

We hadnt been in Port de Pollenca for 5 or 6 years and were a bit worried after booking that it would'nt be as nice as we remebered. But both the resort and the hotel were even more beautiful. The rooms, staff and general atmosphere are just wonderful and the view from were you eat breakfast or sunbathe is unbeatable. We are also did some guided walks advertised in the hotel and this really added to our holiday.

The coffee shop/bistro was a bit expensive and we only tried it once.

Room Tip: We went for a basic room and were surprised to get one with a balcony at the back. It was a bit no...

Just arrived home after wonderful holiday, staying at Sis Pins. The previous reviewer "slated" the breakfast which personally I think is very unfair as you can have a really good breakfast which is brought to you by bubbly watresses who start your day off with lots of interaction - this coming from the fussiest eaters on earth.

Yes the hotel has chosen to remove it,'s restaurant and replace it with an overpriced "burger bar", well just go elswhere !! There are numerous good restaurants within a few minutes walk. Feel very sorry although for guests who's mobility is impaired and would normally have used the hotel's eating facilities but are now forced to pay inflated prices for less than quality dining food.

My only gripe is the state of the sun terrace which is breaking up badly and a Health & Safety concern and a cut foot waiting to happen.

All in all a great hotel but don't let the standards drop as there are other good hotels in area awaiting Sis Pins dropping it's standards and having the "we have good bookings, for 2012" attitude does not mean that all is well, only that guests have been coming here as returning guests for many years and some are reluctant to try another hotel.

Having used this hotel over a period of ten years when it was run by globespan,we travelled two to three times each year. After being taken over in june last year(2010) it has become more like a hostel than a hotel like it used to be.With the result we now no longer use it! The staff are the the same and are very helpful, but there is not the same atmosphere any more. Breakfast is so poor, there is no restaurant within hotel now.

I am truly amazed that someone would not like our breakfast, it is freshly made from local produce and served directly to the table by our friendly staff, and most people have complimented us on our choice. With reference to the hotel being now more like a hostel, with have a beautiful hotel in a beautiful location with a wonderful bar and restaurant, I don’t understand the comment. We encourage guests to write a review on Tripadvisor, which can leave us wide open to possible bad review; we are in that kind of business where we cannot please everyone, however hard we try. If you look at the other reviews about the hotel, you will see that we are doing pretty well and if the bookings for 2012 are anything to go by, then we are going to have a fantastic year in 2012

Geoff Hopkins

My husband and I stayed at the Sis Pins for four nights during our two week honeymoon in Spain. The staff was courteous, helpful and very accommodating. We did not plan to travel to Port de Pollenca and called the Sis Pins and were able to get a room that night. Our room was clean, quaint and perfect for a few days on the beach. We did not have a sea view but the hotel's patio area and beach sun deck were more than enough.

Breakfast was part of our room rate and even if we showed up just a few minutes before it was scheduled to end, the staff prepared us a great meal and couldnt have been more kind and welcoming.

I would highly recommend the Sis Pins for a holiday in Port de Pollenca and wish I could go back!

We thoroughly enjoyed our time at Sis Pins in fact we enjoyed the whole holiday in Port de Pollensa. All the staff were very friendly and helpful. We had a double room with a small terrace with table and chairs also 2 sunbeds which were lovely if you just wanted to relax privately for a while or to sit out for evening drinks before going out. I enjoyed the breakfast,it was nice to have waitress service but also you could choose fresh fruit and make extra toast if you wanted to. The fresh orange juice was delicious.I only had one problem which stopped me giving the hotel an excellent rating was the Cappuccino franchise side of the hotel. It would have been nice to sit outside the hotel to have a drink or maybe a snack but I felt the prices there were a bit over the top. For instance a bacardi and coke and a beer were 14 euros, but less than 2 minutes walk away at another hotel it was nearly half the price..Its such a shame as the ambience was lovely. It wouldnt put me off going again as the location and charm of the hotel is so nice.

Just returned from staying at Sis Pins hotel in Port de Pollenca and had a lovely time. Great location right on top of beach, hotel staff really friendly. Only booked standard room which was spotlessly clean. No view but didn't put us off at all. Would recommend for little extra to book early and book room with sea view. Good variety of restaurants to eat any time of day. Cappucinos situated on ground flr of hotel is of very high standard but a little pricey.
