We returned from a week at this hotel yesterday. As has been said before, the rooms are dated but comfortable, but apparently they are due a refurb. There have been negative comments from others re the aircon but we didn't even attempt to use it as it really wasn't that hot while we were there.

We really only used the hotel as a base so can't really comment on things like the entertainment, although in passing by it did look very children/family orientated.

The food was excellent with good choices at breakfast ranging from full-English to pastries and some lovely fresh melon and pineapple. The juice, however, lets it down a very synthetic cordial taste. The evening buffet is also very good with a wide variety of choices and also another plus point (to a non-dessert eater) - there is cheese and crackers available in the evenings, as well as fresh fruit.

We had e-mailed ahead to request a mountain view, high floor "quiet room" which we got - so a big thanks to the hotel for this as I think the rooms overlooking the pool/bar must be quite noisy at least until midnight.

Only negative comments really are that there is a charge of 17 euro per week for fridge use which I think is quite high and there isn't even a glass in the kitchen for a drink of water.

Overall I would recommend this hotel for families with small children.

We have just returned from a very relaxing holiday in Puerto Pollenca. There is not much to add that hasn't been said before. All the staff are very helpful and friendly. The food was plentiful with a good choice. It is always being replenished so was always fresh. There is outdoor seating in the restaurant. It was lovely to be able to sit outside in the sunshine at mealtimes. The rooms are a bit dated but were very clean. Beds were comfortable and the shower was good? Two things that are important to me! We were lucky to have a room overlooking the pool. The hotel is ideally situated, 2 minutes walk to the lovely beach and pine walk. We didn't use the pool but it looked well maintained and there were plenty of sunbeds and umbrellas. Having been to various places in Majorca, I would definitely say that Puerto Pollenca is the nicest I have been too.

Room Tip: Choose poolside rather than roadside

Have just returned from a break with my teenage daughter and her friends. Booked this hotel because of the glowing reviews on this site.
The pros...
Food was good- plenty of choice and we found something we liked every night. The wine was good value as were the soft drinks and the staff in the restaurant were very friendly and worked extremely hard.
Pool area was clean and there were plenty of sunbeds although towels were out nice and early in true English style!
Grounds were well maintained and ground staff were friendly.
Free wifi when it worked
Drinks at the bar reasonable although the cocktails were sickly and made from concentrate.
Position in the resort was good with a short stroll to the pine walk.
Worth paying to use the fridge to keep drinks in although you will either have to pack glasses, travel kettle. corkscrew as there is nothing provided.

The cons...
The room was very disappointing. Far too cramped for 4 people. Air conditioning non existent and with a ' view ' over a road onto some scrubland with a mountain in the background looked nondescript. Because we had to sleep with the window open due to the lack of air conditioning some nights we were kept awake by the frequent traffic noise.
Also found the hotel noisy with doors banging, voices and loud plumbing.
Entertainment was not for us...I can see the mini disco would suit young children but the adult entertainment we saw was lacking.
The maid service was poor...there were hairs on the floors when we checked in and ants. The room never felt as if it had been properly cleaned.

In conclusion we would not return. I think the room would have been better if we had a view over the pool. I would recommend Balearic Transfers who were good value and prompt.

We have just returned from a lovely holiday at this hotel, for the 3rd time, great hotel no frills really but great location and food is lovely,as previous reviewers have said the staff go all out to meet everyones needs.
being 3 adults the apartment suited us fine only one complaint the air con was not good so we sleplt with patio doors open.i heard a few guests complaining about this but we managed previous visits have been ok with regard to this.
entertainment far from being the best we tended to go to the pine walk lovely bars etc and although far from cheap the sis pins is wonderful, treat yourself to lunch its lovely.

Room Tip: rooms with pool views are noisey past midnight, if you require mountain view rooms send an email dir...

My husband and I have just returned from a week's stay at this hotel. The hotel is spotlessly clean, staff work extremely hard and are on hand at all times and do everything they can to ensure that everyone has a good holiday.

This is an excellent hotel for a family holiday but may not be the place to stay during the school holidays if you are looking for a quiet relaxing time.

It is in an excellent location, only minutes from the sea front.

Room Tip: Ask for a room overlooking the road or the mountains if you would like a quieter room as those overl...

Hotel clean, food ok, free WiFi (unless someone used it all! i.e downloading movies), children centred hotel, not set up for adults. Pool quiet & sunbeds available all day (no rush).

Room is roasting! Air conditioning is like a puff of air at best. Better opening all doors and windows and hoping for a breeze! Originally self-catering accommodation, not the best as a hotel. Location central.

Room Tip: Will no sun on the balcony at night so you can open all windows and doors and hope for a breeze to c...

A big thank you to Paddy, Mennon and Chantelle for making the holiday so much fun for our team of 5 cousins aged between 2-13. Each of them bounced to mini club every morning and loved the activities and evening entertainment. Great fun for all of them and us adults too. To the manager...please give them a bigger budget for props and materials they do such a great job on a tiny budget. Fabulous holiday.
