We have just returned from the Puerto Azul Suite Hotel and have had a lovely holiday. We can certainly recommend it. The rooms, all suites, are spacious, well equipped, spotlessly clean and very comfortable. The shower rooms are very tasteful and efficient.
The staff are all friendly, very helpful and professional.
The food is very good and a big selection.
The swimming pool is excellent for all ages.
We were very impressed with everything and we will certainly return.

Room Tip: All rooms are suites and very comfortable.

Just back from 2 weeks at the Puerto Azul Suite Hotel. We had a great time and as a summary we can say that we agree with all the positive comments we read before booking. Spacious suite, clean and newly refurbished, friendly staff, good location etc.
Another reviewer commented that they would have preferred a bath to a walk in shower. We had a bath with an overhead shower, so if you want one. Just ask.
Meals were buffet style with plenty of choice with my vegetarian wife always having options.
Air conditioning and Wi-Fi in the suite was appreciated, even if the Wi-Fi was a bit clunky! Fine for keeping in touch with emails and surfing the net though.
Would we go again? Yes definitely.

We were a party of 8 (2 children, 6 adults).

The pool was gorgeous, water just the right temperature, 2 shallow areas for the children and the main deep area for swimming. There are plenty of sunbeds and a terrific shady area for the sun shy.
You need to bring your own beach towels though as the hotel does not provide them.

The rooms were done to a very high standard. There is a huge sofabed that can pull out 2 decent single beds.
The telly has several UK stations including CBeebies.
There is a fridge but if you want a kettle you need to hire it from reception.

The restaurant is buffet style and has lots of choice for both breakfast and dinner. Something for everyone!

The staff are all very friendly and helpful. Of course they all speak English to help us tourists out.

The hotel is only 5 mins walk from the beach. There's lots of great bars and restaurants on the front and its good for an evening stroll. None of the bars are the sort that hassle you to go in.

Just got back from a fabulous holiday here. The rooms were refurbished beautifully. I loved the fact that we had a little sitting room with sofa and some English tv. Bathroom was very tastefull with red hot water all day. Our room overlooked the mountains which look stunning on a sunny day. Ask for B block 202 for a super position away from any evening noises.
The pool was lovely and quite adequate and we never had to save our sunbeds, there were pldnty available at the time of year we were there.
The food was good also, especially breakfast and there was always something for everyone.
The staff in this hotel were brilliant, nothing too much trouble, always smiling and polite. I especially thought that Maria on reception was especially helpful for us. And to Alberto the fab waiter always friendly and full of fun but very proffessional. I would definately return to this hotel!

Our suite was just what we needed - newly refurbished, tastefully decorated, good quality bedlinen, towels etc, and a decent sized,well-equipped bathroom. We loved having a sitting room with a comfy sofa, coffee table, dining table and chairs, and our little balcony looked out across the mountains. Although we were an old couple in an hotel of mainly young families and children, we had no complaints, in fact it was great to see everyone having a good time. The children seemed to love their evening entertainment in the huge lounge, and the smart bar was far enough away to enjoy a civilised drink. The pool area was spacious, and there were always plenty of sunbeds even on the hottest days. The reception and bar staff could not have been more helpful and pleasant, which made for a lovely ambience. We loved the location, just a couple of blocks back from the shops, restaurants, and the delightful pedestrian promenade, and would be very happy to go back to this hotel and this resort. Oh, with regard to the food - not the best we've ever had, but we could always find something ok to eat, and sometimes we found something really nice to eat. If we fancied something totally delicious, we went out to one of the many enticing restaurants for lunch, and ate lightly in the evening at the hotel.

Room Tip: We liked our room in block B on the first floor; easy to get to, never any noise.

I stayed at the Puerto Azul from the 30th May 2014 for 7 days and what a brilliant holiday we had .We were a party of 2 grandparents my daughter and 2 grand children aged 3 and a14 months old baby. The room was fitted out to a very high standard and we couldnt have asked for a better room location,on the grould floor facing the childrens pool. The staff were really friendly and couldnt do enough to help hotel guests. The enertainment was average but the best act was a magician who got most of his act wrong. It was the funiest thing I have seen on my travels!!
.

Room Tip: rooms on the bottom floor are family friendly
