Interesting and enjoyable experience! Small Osteria down an alleyway off one of the main piazzas. No choice or menu on the evening that we were there but having determined that there wasn’t a large proportion of fish involved (we don’t like shell fish, squid etc etc – our problem!) we decided to commit. The lady of the house, it was just her and us to start with, brought us about 6 cold starters in serving dishes followed by 3 hot starters (no fish – mainly veg) followed by a selection of cuts of meat (lamb, beef, chicken, pork & sausage) all cooked in a wood-fired oven. This was accompanied by salad and potatoes and washed down by a litre of good house wine and as much chilled mineral water as one wanted. I believe pudding was on offer but we declined. To finish there was a choice of 3 home-made liquers including a Limoncello which was wonderful. All in all it was a very pleasant evening for €25 each including the drinks.
