“Great camping brilliant site”
Reviewed 15 July 2014 via mobile

We stayed for two nights. We never even left the site. It was very clean and well maintained. The park and pool were lovely and the site shop is great well priced.
Camping was really easy. Staff were really friendly.

We stayed in a static (which had everything we needed, it was very clean and well presented)
for a weekend in June and found the park to be exactly what we wanted/needed for a break from our busy work schedules.

The quietness is so refreshing for a holiday park - even any kids that were around didn't run riot but kept to the pool or park areas.

We were very lucky with the weather and spent most of the days outside in the sun.

The only disappointment was that we wished we had booked a longer break, we will definitely be returning in the future for a week and are looking forward to it.

My wife and I took our 2 boys (ages 5 and 2) for a long weekend Fri-Mon recently and loved it. We stayed in one of the static caravans and it was clean and tidy. Park itself was perfect for us - lovely and quiet with no clubhouse or tacky noisy entertainment! Swimming pool was very nice - very shallow which was perfect for the kids but prehaps not ideal for serious swimmers. Nice playground and lovely walks in surrounding woods. About 25mins drive to lovely sandy beaches in Exmouth. Would definitely go again

We (two adults and a toddler) stayed at Forest Glade on a three night break in a static caravan and it was fantastic.

Positive points
The caravan was spotlessly clean, spacious and well equipped. The site was ideal for us - no noisy 'entertainment' complex, small, friendly and safe for our toddler. The pool is small, and is a nice temperature. The playpark was a good size and had plenty to keep a two year old occupied. We loved watching the bunnies popping in and out between the caravans and seeing a large variety of birds in the surrounding woodland.

(Mildly) Negative points
- no handrail to the steps exiting the caravan...made it a bit tricky/dangerous for a toddler.
- the 'takeaway' meals - we ordered a curry and when we collected it, we spotted that it was just a (expensive) microwave meal - had we known this, we would have bought our own from the supermarket before coming.
- the pool is nice, but the changing rooms are a bit old/grubby.
- wifi is expensive and is a poor quality signal which kept dropping out.

In conclusion though, we had a lovely time at Forest Glade and thoroughly enjoyed ourselves. We decided within about an hour of arriving there that we would definitly be going again!

We have just returned from a 4 night break at Forest Glade Holiday Park. Overall we had a pleasant stay but I felt I wanted to leave a review of what we thought of the site.
The location is beautiful & we really feel the site could be perfect. In our opinion the site is 'tired' & would really benefit with a bit of time & £ being spent on it.
Upon arrival the staff were very friendly & we promptly got shown to our pitch. .our van was even towed into position for us. The pitch was a gravel one as requested & of reasonable size. . No complaints there.
We felt that there could be more water/waste facilities & larger bins.
Our son wanted to go in the games room. This was a very dated room with little to entertain children but we had fun playing pool & table tennis.
We only used the swimming pool once during our stay as we weren't overly impressed with it. The pool itself wasn't too bad but the changing facilities were limited & rather unclean. . Disappointing.
The toilet block was quite clean but the shower heads were really low (myself & hubby are 6ft tall & the shower heads were at 5ft!!) & the water not very warm. Ideal for when our son showered though!
The washing up facilities were adequate but there was no bulb in the light for our 4 night break so we had to make sure we didn't leave it too late to wash up.
We felt that the wifi was expensive especially given the quality of the signal. . We kept losing it.
All in all we had a good 4 days/nights in Devon & managed to explore quite a lot despite the wet weather. We probably wouldn't rush back to Forest Glade but we wish you all the best for the rest of the season :)

Lovely family run park, there's not much there but that's the best bit about it, there's a little shop a tiny pool and a few other things, but the best bit is the miles on miles of forest land around the park. Very peaceful and relaxing, 10mins off the M5, in between Cullompton and Honiton.

We hired two caravans for a weekend family get together and had a most enjoyable time. It is a beautiful, uncomplicated caravan park set in stunning scenery. We had no difficulty following the directions provided and received and friendly welcome. The caravans were clean and provided all that we needed. I am sure the shop would have had anything else we might have wanted. Our family was comprised of 2 OAPS, 3 adults, 2 young children and a small dog and everyone was very happy and found plenty to occupy them. The children loved the play area and the swimming pool, the adults played table tennis etc the dog was well exercised in the surrounding forest.
Had the weather been kinder we would have followed the local walks and stayed in the area. as it was it was a relatively short drive to Lyme Regis and Charmouth for a spot of fossil hunting.
I would recommend Forest Glades to people who enjoy a quiet park with lovely scenery, you will not find bingo and disco here, thank goodness.
