We walked up to the Glenfinnan viaduct in the driving rain and stopped at the Dining Car for lunch afterwards. The mushroom soup and black pudding toastie combo was absolutely delicious, the pot of tea excellent and the rich fruit cake fantastic. Such a great place to while away an hour, really kind and friendly service and great music in the background (Dr John)!! Our 10 year old declared it the best restaurant ever!

The food was tasty albeit a wee bit overpriced. The service was great and the setting was a bit different. Worth a visit.

Good food in a fantastic environment. I would highly recommend visiting this Dining Car. Even without children it is an amusing experience.

We stopped by here by accident and indulged in tea and scones. They were out of this world. And as for the pot of tea, it was really good tea (silk tea bags, the proper stuff). Anyway, as it happened, we took the Glenfinnan Steam Train the following day, and made a beeline to go back for round two. The two girls were just fantastic (on day two, they knew we were in a hurry so gave us travel cups for our tea - nice touch ladies). Would highly recommend.

After seeing the signs for the dining car and wanting to avoid the visitor centre we stopped here for lunch. Our 7 year old daughter was enthralled with the novelty of it all! Our Lentil and Ham soup was 'different' but was actually quite delicious (if a bit salty for our liking). Toasties were great. We didn't see Glenfinnan on that great a day but this place made our trip and there is something special about sitting in an old dining car with the rain pelting down outside!
