We visited the Glenfinnan Monument during Easter 2014. To be honest, we were not that interested in the history side of things however there is a an exhibition if you prefer that kind of thing. There is a path to the left of the center which takes you to the top of a hill. From here, you have a fantastic view of the Monument against the backdrop of mountains and the loch. On the other side, you have the Viaduct. We were really impressed with the landscape photography opportunity here and can only imagine what it would look like at golden hour.
