If you're looking for an authentic yet comfortable place to stay - look no further! Helen and Stuart did a wonderful job furnishing this apartment, it is very cozy, beautiful and has everything you need. We were greeted as if we're old friends, Helen had a welcome basket with all the basics for us! So sweet! Stuart told us everything we needed to know to find our way around in this wonderful area.
Perfect stay in a perfect apartment in the most beautiful landscape with lovely hosts!
Thank you a million times Helen and Stuart, we can't wait to be back!
Came as guests, left as friends ❤️

“Wonderfully peaceful place to stay”
Reviewed 15 June 2016 for a stay in June 2016

Upon arrival, our hosts were very welcoming and the apartment was clean and tidy. The views were just what we wanted - truly an Italian country setting. Our hosts made excellent suggestions of what to see and do as well as where to eat. A truly wonderful short stay.

“A taste of rural Tuscany with a spectacular view”
Reviewed 4 August 2015 for a stay in July 2015

Both my girlfriend and myself have had a great time staying at numero 182 for the week in our first trip to Tuscany.

The apartment is tucked away just down the road from the local town of Pescia. From outside the apartment, you can enjoy a spectacular view where we often enjoyed lying on the loungers with a glass of local white whine in one hand and a book in the other whilst soaking up the welcoming italian sunshine. Inside, the apartment was well equipped and clean. We were also the first guests to try the welcome pack upgrade, offered as an add-on, which was waiting for us as we arrived. There was clearly a lot of thought and effort that went into organising the welcome pack, and not only did it look lovely, all the produce tasted great. We thoroughly recommend that people try the upgrade and that they also try out some of the recipes Stuart and Helen provide- our particular favourite being the potato salad with green beans and pesto.

Pescia itself is fairly small but has most things you will need including cafés, a supermarket, bus station and train station (which is well connected to Florence, Lucca, Pisa etc) and train tickets are relatively cheap.

Our hosts, Stuart and Helen, could not have been more helpful and friendly. They were both willing to go the extra mile to ensure we enjoyed our stay. On the first night when we arrived we enjoyed having some wine and beer with them both and they made sure we were both settled. Later on in the week they also invited us along to a local wild boar festival which involved some good food, more wine and watching the locals dancing. They also helped shuttle us around, which we are very grateful for.

Overall we both have had a fantastic time and felt like we have had a proper holiday with a good mix of relaxing and being a tourist seeing the sights. We have already recommended the apartment to both of our families, and we have both said how we would like to stay again in the future!

“Wonderful!!”
Reviewed 18 July 2015 for a stay in July 2015

This is a beautifully restored self-contained apartment in a Tuscan farmhouse. It is clean, well equipped and nicely decorated. It has it own seating area outside facing a wonderful view, with fireflies at night! It is situated on a hillside outside the village of Pietrabuona, so feels wonderfully secluded.

We also found that it was lovely and cool inside so we could escape the July heat - one of the real benefits of a traditional old building like this.

The owners were very welcoming and helpful, advising on Italian cheeses, local markets, places to eat and even gave us spare cucumbers from their smallholding!

It is a great base for visiting the region - we spent a week here and only managed a few of the many places to visit, so a return visit will be required!

“Rural peaceful retreat with fantastic views”
Reviewed 14 June 2015 for a stay in June 2015

This place is a rural peaceful retreat owned by a lovely helpful couple who made our stay a delight. On hand with information yet discreet. A small hire car is recommended to get the best out of your stay but Pisa and Florence are easy to reach by train from the local station in Pescia. The apartment is well equipped with everything you need for your stay and proved to be a cool oasis in the heat of the day.
Several good restaurants within easy reach by car and supermarkets close by

“The perfect way to experience Tuscany”
Reviewed 23 March 2015 for a stay in March 2015

When you stay at Numero 182, it will become the holiday that you will come to compare all future holidays to. You will say "Well it was nice to cook there, but it was nothing like the kitchen we had at Numero 182" or "Yeah, staying by that mountain was fine, but it was nothing like being perched on the hill at Numero 182 and watching the river catch the setting sun."

Everything from the accommodation down to the outdoor space has been planned to make your holiday simple and enjoyable. The apartment is fully equipped to make for comfortable living. You'll feel as if you walked into your own home. The appliances and decor are modern, but the exposed beams and stained wooden shelves still bring that lovely rustic Italian feel. There are also plenty of spaces to sprawl outside and take in the glorious Tuscan sun or even walk around and enjoy the forest and feel the nature around you. Pescia is only a short ride away and the train station there will take you on lovely day trips to any of the big cities.

Helen and Stuart are also wonderful as hosts, content to provide you with any help but allowing you the freedom to do as you please. As the apartment is separate from the house you have complete privacy and autonomy. Supplied in the apartment are a great array of information, travel pamphlets, tuscan cookbooks and details for local restaurants that will appease the most adventurous travellers. You cannot go wrong booking your holiday at Numero 182, but you best lock it in now before this hidden gem won't stay hidden for long.

“Amazing place to stay”
Reviewed 26 February 2015 for a stay in February 2015

Loved this apartment,so comfortable, the photographs do not lie, its recently renovated,it's spotless and caters for all your needs.the owners are great, nothing was too much trouble, and for a fee they did airport runs to pick me up and drop me back for my homeward journey also all these extras meant a lot, and also the welcome pack filled with basic things like milk ,tea, coffee, bread was a nice touch. Also a library of books, DVD 's and a good selection of CD's. The garden has furniture, which was lovely to be able to sit there and soak up the amazing views. Basically there was everything you could possibly need for a great stay.
