Cherrys @ Home Too Inland Resort
Ranked #52 of 100 Panglao Island B&B and Inns
Reviewed 16 August 2014

Cherrys Home Too Inland Resort ( what a long name!), of Panglao Island, is located on the main road, merely a few minute's stroll from Alona Beach. There is a small yet quite clean pool, with chaise loungers, a restaurant with open-air + outside seating, and tour assistance; next door is a Money Changer.
The rooms are quite comfortable, with good AC, TV, small fridge, hot-water-showers, and room cleaning when asked for. The beds are comfy, the linens clean. An extension cord was loaned when I needed to charge two devices at once, choosing to leave 'everything else' still plugged-in.
The prices for bottled water, beer, and soda are very competitive with the corner store, Rona's.
Cherrys Home Too has a 'sister-guesthouse' - 'Cherrys@Rooms...' which is supposed to be quite good as well (according to the ratings), yet easier on the budget.
I definitely recommend Cherrys to travelers coming to Alona Beach, Panglao, BOHOL !

Room Tip: The quietest rooms are away from the busy street. The WiFi reception is mostly good -- if problem...

Cherry Homes Too is a Great Place to Stay in Panglao, Average Priced and Clean Rooms!..

I Book 3 Standard Rooms for 4D3N Stay, 2 of the rooms with an Extra Person, Thank you Cherry Homes too for converting the 2 rooms with extra person to a Quadruple room with no additional charge!

Rooms are Clean and Spacious! They Clean it Every Day! With Samsung LCD ..TV and Cable, LG Ref, Hot and Cold Shower, Cabinets, Safe Deposit Box, and Wi-fi..

Swimming Pool is Clean! water is a little bit salty even on the shower in the rooms, this is because you are in an island and also it is near the beach.

Quiet Environment! Nice Sleeping! Good Aircon..

Alona Beach is just 0.25km Away, 5 mins walk depends on how fast you walk.

Breakfast are Great! If you will go Dolphin watching on the morning before 6am, they will prepare you sandwiches for the breakfast.

The Only Problem i see is that, there are no clothes line to hang your wet shirts, but you can hang them in the veranda instead.

My Suggestion on improving their service is to have a Free Unlimited Coffee, or if not, free Unlimited Hot Water for Coffee Lovers Like me,,,

Next time i'll be back to Panglao, I'll be Staying back here!

- Francis "Kitt" Lloren

Room Tip: All Rooms are Great! Quadruple rooms are spacious! It can accommodate 6 persons..

First of all, I would recommend Cherry's home too. The only problem we had was the very noisy aircon of room 4! If only I could ask for a maintenance man at 1 am (since we went back to our room at 11pm) or maybe transferred to another room. But then again there is no telephone in the room and there's no one in the front desk.tsk tsk! The result was I had to turn it off and go through the warm and uncomfortable night just so I could get a few hours of sleep. Water was flowing from the bathroom to the room which explains the towel being pinned between the door and floor. No one was using the swimming pool from the time we arrived until the next day.

Booking was easy and confirmation was fast. Fair room price w/c includes breakfast and staff were polite and made arrangements for our island hopping. It's just a few minutes walk to alona and good thing bpi was just around the corner.

I will definitely be going back to Bohol someday and Cherrys home too will surely be one of our choices to stay :)

Room Tip: Stay away from room 4. Hope the aircon gets fixed

Adding "Resort" into the name of this place is stretching the word a little too far. What you get is a hotel with a swimming pool. The reception is manned by some knowledgable staff, and as ever, some without quite the detail that you would want. The room was large and very basic. It's a shame that the toilet decided to emit a rather ammonia like smell at one stage, not pleasant at all. The wifi stretched to just one corner of the bed, so one could use the internet in some comfort, whilst the other remained punched on a hard hair, like at a doctors surgery. Breakfast included was a very simple affair at the restaurant next door - lukewarm toast, instant coffee and fried egg (no choice here). The whole affair cost 1340, no negotiating. We stayed for one night and then got the hell out of Dodge for a nice placer, Alona beach (see superset review) was not for us.

Stayed in this hotel for three nights. It was a much-awaited break with my husband. The location is just beside the main highway and 5-8 min walking distance to alona beach, various eateries, cafes and restaurants, a BPI bank, trike terminal, bakeries, sari-sari store, etc. The room is spacious and clean. with cable tv, ref., hot and cold shower, cabinets, safe, and free wi fi connection. We got a no-window room for 1450/night , situated on the 2nd floor. The CR, pool, restaurant, corridors are well-maintained. The staff were accommodating and friendly. Since we speak Cebuano, they easily opened up to us, especially, Cherry's mom and shared stories with us. I was especially touched when we were eating our lunch one time and she asked if we eat dried fish. When i said yes, she immediately offered us a piece ( actually a left-over from their lunch) with matching vinegar as dip. We were there when the super typhoon Yolanda hit the Visayas, so we suffered a day of brown-out. They have generator but they use it only for water supply. So we spent a night with no lights and aircon. But they gladly offered to us the use of their rechargeable lamp. And did not charge us for the additional items we ordered on our last breakfast (a plate of special fried rice and one serving of bacon). Another good thing about cherry's is they allow Massage attendants from the beach to service their customers inside the hotel. The rate of those from outside is lower than their rate, but it's ok for them to allow them inside their hotel.

We stayed here for 5 days, on & off while exploring panglao island and its surrounds. While not being luxurious or on the beach, Cherry's does not disappoint. It has to be the best value for money I have gotten out of a guesthouse. Comfortable, clean rooms with air con, bar fridge and in room safe.

The highlights are the HOT shower which lasts for ages (an anomaly in a place like Bohol), a great pool and spa area, a rooftop deck and a great restaurant with affordable food and drinks, where you can sit on the verandah and watch the world go by.

The staff are some of the most friendly and accommodating people I have met, and if anything they were always overstaffed which meant that the place was always spotlessly clean and there was always someone around the corner to serve you no matter what time of the evening.

It must be noted that Cherry's is not on the beach, but a short 5-10 minute walk will take you there, and there are so many shops and restaurants that surround it that you can try a different cuisine every night. Philippe Tarsier Cafe just a little way down the street was the best place for a quite, morning coffee, served to western standards.

Most of the time will be spent out touring, renting scooters or walking around the place, so as long as you have a quite and clean place to rest your head at night, you will be sure to have a great time.

My tip is to get to the poolside bar at the Alona Beach cliffside resort, called Amorita, just before sunset, order some happy hour cocktails and watch the sun go down (without having to fork out thousands of dollars to stay there!) it's a beautiful sight!

rooms are really affordable with aircon, tv, ref, wifi, free breakfast and a pool....quite near to alona beach and to restaurants, atm machine and taxicles :) tho we didnt stay there for one whole day because we were always out, its great that when its time for rest, we will find our room clean. well, the water is salty. only meant for bathing and not for brushing teeth :| sometimes the water is strong, sometimes not. staff are friendly enough. they dont have rags n the room. i just hope that the management will put double locks on the doors for security purposes.
