I would say the location is perfect right by the beach, away from the many restos and bar along the alona beach stretch, gives you a good amount of privacy and serenity, I luv their pool thats for sure, They need to replace their beach lounge chairs though, other than that its a nice panglao property with great hotel staff, The rooms has nice "native" design, the bed are quite comfortable and they provide you basic amenities, My 4th time i this hotel and i would certainly recommend this and will stay here again :)

It is hard for me to rate this resort. It in on the 10th largest island in the Philippines- right on the beach. What should one really expect is the problem...

The location is great.

The room had a twin and a single bed. That would be nice for someone with a teenager.

The bed was comfortable and with lots of pillows.

Cable tv with HBO.

There was a sitting area with chairs outside the room.

The atmosphere was nice in the common areas- very tropical with a nice pool.

Their breakfast was in the restaurant right on the beach and open air.

However- I can't say the rooms inside were great. They were a little run down. The bathroom had a few issues and I killed 3 roaches there in two days. The only air conditioning unit was a small one in the bedroom.

It worked well for me - I was there to dive and it is probably the best hotel on the beach.

The beach had several open air bars, restaurants and dive shops.

I would actually stay there again.

Those with less tolerance might prefer the Belleview, but it is not near the beach and dive shops. You would have to take a taxi.

Stayed at the resort for 2 nights. Their website was not working properly when I tried booking online so had to ask my sister to ring them up. Great location. It is located right at the bottom end of Alona Beach so you can get a peaceful keep at night. There are a few bars in the middle of the resort so it could get noisy. You can stay in a native hut right at the beachfront or you can in cottages a little back further. It has got its own kidney shaped pool and a jacuzzi. Rooms are ok and quite basic but the good thing is the hot and cold shower is working. Yes I agree with a few reviewers that the resort is putting some animals in the cage! They should not do this. I don't know if the authorities are aware of this but then this is in the Philippines. There were a few big birds and in fact i think one is an eagle.

They have their own restaurant mostly serving Filipino cuisine and the food was excellent! You can request a continental breakfast in the morning.

The problem I have was I booked a double room with extra bed. When we checked in there were only 2 beda and just two towels!

If you want to stay where it is nice and quiet and along the Alona Beach and not overly expensive then this is the place to be but there are more cheaper places but just a walking distanve to the beach.

I stayed there for three nights and four days. It's a nice beach property with a good pool. The rooms are decent and good for two people. Since its built close to nature and has lots of trees around, there are a lot of bugs and mosquitos. The hotel staff does provide coils for protection though. The food at the property is good but it's quite expensive as compared to the usual Philippine standards. The hotel staff s pleasant to deal with. The room that we had was right on the beach so the view outside is simply amazing. Overall, a good stay.

Room Tip: Get the rooms right behind the beach villas, they are cheaper and yet right on the beach.

The service was good, after some confusion on check it, it seemed they couldn't find our reservation. That was cleared up and we had two double fan rooms. The price was a lot cheaper than other hotels along the beach.
The pool was nice, but a little shady, could do with some more loungers. We only ate in the restaurant for one breakfast but it was tasty and reasonably priced.
For the value and location, within easy walking distance of the lively parts of the beach I would stay here again.

Room Tip: We stayed in a room with a fan, it was pretty hot on the first night, but we got used to it on the s...

At a first glance a wonderful hotel with a wonderful garden - but they keep monkeys and hawks in small cages...the hawks cannot even spread their wings and the monkeys can hardly jump and have but one little branch inside their cage...it's horrible. I cancelled my reservation as soon as I saw how they treat the animals although the hotel is quite nice. My advice: Tell the people at the reception why you don't stay and write a mail - because as soon as they make the cages bigger the resort will be really worthwile staying!
