Mair and Lee are excellent hosts and both them and their staff very friendly and accomodating. The qualtiy of decor is excellent and the cleanliness and freshness about the place is prefect. We had a comfortable sleep and I loved the little touches such as Molton-Brown in the bathroom, thank you :-) The added bonus is that you come out of the front door and walk 200yrd to the beach. Likewise Ryde is only a short drive or taxi ride. There is plenty to see and do on the Isle of Wight and as it is such a small island it really doesn't matter where you stay but I could not recommend St. Veronica's enough as I felt like I was staying in a top class hotel. Hope to see you in September. Thanks again for a lovely welcoming stay.

Thanks for your kind review, it's much appreciated. As you've said, although the IOW is small, there are more attractions per square mile here than anywhere else in the UK - from food/walking/music/sailing festivals...to just getting away with your partner/friends festivals..:))
As you found, we're less than a minutes walk from the beach - and we get to see so many fabulous sights along the Solent such as the amazing cruise liners leaving Southampton at sunset, the round the island yacht race and this week the Red Arrows flying over to commemorate the 70th anniversary of D Day landings..There is always something to do here! Hope you enjoyed your weekend with friends at 'Gaffers' festival, and we'll look forward to seeing you again in September, Best Wishes, Mair & Lee..

Everything is carefully thought, from the impeccable tasteful decor to the locally sourced ingredients for the breakfast. Mair and lee will make you feel welcomed and looked after, we arrived way early in the morning and we were welcomed with a cup of tea. Make sure you follow their advise for the local restaurants and you not be disappointed. This is the place where you will feel home away from home.

Thanks for your lovely review Roberta, it was a pleasure to meet you both and we're so glad you managed to visit some of our favourite places to eat/see whilst on the Island. You certainly packed a lot in during your trip - good job there are still some left to 'do' and we hope to see you again! Best wishes, Mair & Lee.

I read the other reviews before writing ours. Everything in the other reviews is absolutely correct - fantastic and really genuine welcome; superb rooms up to a 4 or 5* standard but with lots of personal, thoughtful touches and a great breakfast menu including lovely choice of sausages. In addition, you get 10% off if you stay again making it all very good value too. We've booked again for the summer - this time for six nights. Thank you Mair and Lee!

We wanted to thank Mair and Lee for our stay at St. Veronica's.
Their friendliness was overwhelming.
The Rooms have an air of Romance; Beautiful white Bed Linen white Towels ect. and all the amenities a woman needs! It is only a minute away from the sea with a lovely beach.
Not only did we get a wonderful breakfast (I am sure had I ask for a glass of Champagne I would have got it)
With a very comfortable Lobby one could relax at any time of the day.
My husband and I both agreed it was more like a small "Boutique Hotel"
We can't wait to have again a few days at St. Veronica's

We arrived at st V 's at 8pm a perfect location right next to the beach and received a very warm welcome from Mair and Lee.We were shown to our room , the Solent , which was tastefully decorated and immaculately clean as was the rest of the property. Our room had a very comfortable bed, lovely hot shower and some fine touches that would more commonly be found in four star and above hotels, such as bottled water, natural and sparkling, replenished daily at no extra cost, and an array of hot drinks options with biscuits, in the en-suite there was complementary toiletries and not to forget the luxurious fluffy bathrobes. As mentioned in previous reviews the breakfast is sourced locally where possible and cooked perfectly. Our every need was catered for no request seemed to be a problem to this very friendly couple. Hard to believe they have only been running a B&B for a year or so. But one thing is for sure with the effort they make to provide customer satisfaction it will only be a success .Thank you for a lovely weekend

Room Tip: Book early to avoid disappointment

Thank you both for staying with us and for your lovely review, it's much appreciated. It was great fun meeting you, especially with the 'shorts' and bike chain incident - a really good laugh, and hopefully made it a memorable weekend in more ways than one!.. It is a pleasure to make our guests visits here as pleasant as possible, and we look forward to welcoming you again - and to you trying out the local crab and lobster ;) with our very best wishes, Mair & Lee.

St Veronica's is an amazing contemporary B&B, we highly recommend a stay here. It is literally a stones throw from the gorgeous beach, the views from the beach across the sea are fabulous. We had the perfect time at St Veronica's with Mair and Lee, nothing is too much trouble. It was our anniversary while we were there and Mair organised a seafood platter with the local fisherman for us which was just fantastic! The breakfast is all sourced locally and cooked to perfection, there is so much choice too, catering for all dietary requirements! The bedroom is beautifully light, extremely comfortable and has everything you need for the perfect night's sleep and a cuppa in your room in the morning! Mair and Lee also have great knowledge of the Island and suggested places to eat and places to visit. The B&B is decorated beautifully throughout to a very high standard, it's a very comfortable, relaxing place to stay. We will definitely come back! Thankyou!

Thank you! So pleased we could help with making your anniversary special. We try and buy local produce wherever possible - including eggs which we sometimes have to wait for the hens to lay!!..
It was great to meet you, and your visit to Osborne House sounded a great success. Look forward to seeing you both again soon ! Mair & Lee

Had a lovely stay at St V's. We were greeted on arrival with a cup of tea/ glass of wine and discussed breakfast options of which the food was locally sourced and outstanding - filled us up for the whole day !
The property is furnished to a high standard with the rooms being very comfortable and well equipped. A stunning location a stones throw from the beach and local facilities.
Mair and Lee are great hosts and as you have a key to the front door you are not restricted to times and can come and go as you please. Had a lovely send off sitting in the 'snug' having a cup of coffee, they think of everything to make you feel welcome and spoilt!. Cannot recommend enough.

Thanks to you both for your review - it's just a shame you didn't stay longer! So glad the weather was good for your Walk the Wight trip (despite initial forecasts looking gloomy!) - and that you found some great pubs on the way ;)
Look forward to seeing you again. Mair & Lee..
