“Cannot Recommend Enough!!!”
Reviewed 7 July 2014

After having a nightmare of a journey getting to St. V's we were delighted to have received such a warm welcome from Mair when we arrived at 11.30pm! The cottage was beautiful and finished to such a high standard, everything you could have wanted was provided from luxury toiletries to locally sourced breakfasts. (the sausages are highly recommended!!) The bedrooms were very comfortable and felt like a home from home. Mair and Lee were always extremely helpful, offered a 5* B&B experience and really made it easy for us to unwind and relax. We will definitely be coming back soon and cannot recommend the beautiful ST. V's enough!

I booked St V's for my son and his fiances first visit to us on the Island and even though I didn't stay there myself I was extremely touched by Mair and Lees genorosity and helpfulness! I cannot recommend St V's highly enough, 5 stars does not do this stunning B&B justice and you will not find more gracious hosts than Mair and Lee! Fabulous!

Having had a nightmare journey from Waterloo, due to a 'trespasser on the lines', we arrived at St. Veronica's Inn at 2am. This was 5 hours later than Mair and Lee had been expecting us. Not only did Mair book us a taxi from the ferry port but also provided a very comforting Gin and tonic to ease our pain. This level of treatment and hospitality continued throughout the weekend. The rooms are lovely and the complimentary teas and toiletries make you feel very well looked after. It's a lovely quiet spot right by the water and I slept very well both nights. They are only a 15 minute (leisurely) stroll from the village centre and just near The Crab and Lobster Inn which several friends informed me was well with a visit for a meal. On the subject of food…the breakfast at St. V's is not to be missed. Wonderful ingredients cooked to your specifications and lovely glass bottles of juice to dust away slightly cloudy heads. We were staying in Bembridge for a wedding and so there were several of us booked at St. V's. So glad we chose this place and would highly recommend to anyone looking for a great location and a level of hospitality that really goes above and beyond. Thank you Mair and Lee!

Thanks for the review Rebecca, at least once you'd finally arrived after your nightmare journey (just managing to catch the last ferry of the night to the island!) the weekend all went well. Gorgeous weather for the wedding and seems everyone enjoyed themselves.. Happy Days!

We stayed at St.V's for a weekend and right from the offset Mair & Lee where the perfect hosts. Nothing was too much trouble for them and they went out of their way to help us have a great stay in Bembridge. It was really like staying with family. The location is excellent and the newly re-furbished house is finished to a great standard. We hope to visit again!

Top location right next to the waterfront with a unique modern pier leading to a lifeboat station. A very warm welcome by hosts, relaxed atmosphere who provided some great tips on the local area. Quality of rooms was of a very high standard, beds very comfortable, breakfast was delightful with a wide selection and choice, in general the attention to detail was evident throughout. Great experience had by me and my daughter, full of character we would strongly recommend St V's.

Thanks Trevor, it was lovely meeting you and Chloe - still think it was very brave of you to accompany her on her DofE challenge across the island... although she did say it was a good excuse for you to buy a new bike! Kind regards, Mair & Lee

Very pleasant couple of days, Mair & Lee are both vey accommodating, the offer of a beer or glass of wine when we arrived was most welcome. We chose this property as it was close to the circular island cycle route, an excellent choice, after we had completed our ride we were provided with a couple of beers and an ice bucket to go to the beach with. Probably return with friends now we have investigated the cycle route.
Beach room overlooks the front, huge bed, very comfy.

Hi Steve and Sally - lovely to meet you both, and thanks for staying with us. We were very impressed with the 65 mile round the island bike tour you managed on the Saturday - before then going out for dinner!! Hope the Yorkshire trip goes well and we look forward to seeing you again.. Best wishes, Mair & Lee

Booked St Veronica’s as part of a birthday surprise for my girl. What a treat; from the warm welcome and knowledgeable Mair to the room itself. We chose the Solent room, which was excellently furnished and fitted out with a wide range of toiletries – all top notch. The room and bed were most comfortable and following a night at a local eatery (reviewed elsewhere) we retired for a good nights sleep. We awoke and partook in the feast of breakfast with all its wonderful choices. All in all a 5 star experience and highly recommended. In particular I must mention the hosts Lee and Mair who were a delight to meet and chat to and to whom nothing was too much trouble.

Thanks Steve for your lovely review, it was a pleasure to meet you both and so glad that Annie enjoyed her birthday 'night away' surprise. I think you have lots of brownie points stacked up now!
Mind you, having done such a good job this year for her..... you'd better start planning for next years now..!! Best wishes, Mair & Lee.
