“Comfortable, well equipped cottage with garden.”
Reviewed 18 May 2015 for a stay in May 2015

We had all we needed from this well equipped cottage. Good mix of bedrooms and plenty of space. Good to have a garden which our granddaughter enjoyed. Sea 10minutes away and we made use of the beach hut, mainly to shelter as weather wasn't great.
Bembridge village has some interesting small shops and we also visited the local museum where we were made welcome. The ladies in Libray loved having our granddaughter visit them, she loves books.

“Fantastic Holiday Base”
Reviewed 13 April 2015 for a stay in April 2015

I stayed at Lane End Cottage for a week over the Easter holidays with my wife, her two grown up daughters, one of which was with her boyfriend and our 2 year old granddaughter, and also our 16 year old foster child.
Our first impressions were good as there was ample parking at the front for our two cars, and the Kim, the lady who showed us around the cottage on arrival, was very pleasant and told us everything that we needed to know about not only the cottage, but also the local village of Bembridge.
We had the downstairs double bedroom, with is next to a wetroom/ bathroom, which would be ideal for anyone with mobility issues. Upstairs there are 2 more double rooms of ample size as well as another bedroom with 3 single beds, along with an ample sized bathroom with bath and shower over the bath.
There was even a box of Lego, which our granddaughter enjoyed and also a bottle of complimentary wine in the fridge.......with the three women enjoyed!!!
The garden is ideal and, although not fully enclosed, we reversed one of the cars right up to the only place that our granddaughter could get out from, which gave us peace of mind that she could play safely.
The village itself is pretty small, but with a variety of shops and is only about a 10 minute walk away. We visited all 3 local pubs, which are very nice and within walking distance. They all offer food, which we did not have, but were busy with diners while we were there. The local Co-op is literally 2 minutes walk from the property, as is the beach, but in the opposite direction. We visited the lifeboat station, where the staff were great at welcoming visitors and really encouraged visitors to ask questions.
All in all we had a perfect holiday and would definitely recommend Lane End Cottage for a perfect base to explore the island, and would love to return in the future.
All communication with the owner was great, and we were even provided with a stair gate for the little one.

“The perfect seaside holiday cottage in a peaceful location.”

We stayed at Lane End Cottage to celebrate my Dad's 60th birthday in May 2014 and it was a total pleasure. The location is great - Bembridge is a gorgeous little village with plenty of quaint boutiques and bistros, and the cottage's location within the village is fab. Just a short walk down to the beach or up into the village centre, easily manageable even with a toddler in tow!

The cottage itself is beautifully decorated and very well equipped. On arrival we found a bottle of wine in the fridge and a big box of Lego for the kids, what more do you want?!

We also took up the offer of the optional extra Beach hut, which was well worth it. The novelty was great but it was also very practical being able to leave our beach things there for the week. The hut is brilliantly located overlooking Bembridge lifeboat station.

Both the owner and the lady who looks after the cottage were extremely helpful and I would thoroughly recommend this cottage to anyone looking for a well positioned and peaceful IoW holiday let.

“A fabulous seaside cottage”
Reviewed 1 February 2014 for a stay in August 2013

We stayed here in the summer of 2013.We chose this cottage because it looked spacious enough to fit our family of 6 in and it was also within walking distance of the beaches, shops and pubs. Communication with the owner was great and easy.On arrival we were met by the lady who looks after the cottage and talked us through everything about it and the local area. The cottage itself was huge inside with 4 good bedrooms(advertised as 3 bed but there is a spare which they opened up for us because we had 2 juniors and 2 teenagers),a fully equiped kitchen with everything you need ,a fabulous wet room downstairs and family bathroom upstairs, and garden large enough for BBQ's or just sitting outside having a beer.Shops are 2 mins away ,2 beeches are within 10 minutes walk ,as well as the village centre and a couple of great pubs.
This cottage is the ideal family holiday home in a cracking location..i would recommend it to anybody who is after the perfect seaside holiday.

“a beautiful house and great location - we want to live there too!!!”
Reviewed 8 January 2014 for a stay in December 2013

We stayed here for a week over new year and we were so impressed the minute we walked through the door. The house is lovely, really well equipped, plenty of space and the decor is lovely. There is nothing we could fault with the property or our stay. The booking and communication before was good as well as accessing the cottage on the day. It's a short walk from the beach and despite a very wet and windy week we were on the beach every day. The return of the deposit was also very punctual. If we ever went to stay over there again we would definitely go back to this cottage. A great place to stay that feels like home. Thank you so much for providing such good accommodation that made our holiday so enjoyable!!

“A wonderful home from home.”
Reviewed 2 September 2013 for a stay in August 2013

Lane End Cottage has a lovely homely feel to it that makes you relaxed and settled as soon as you walk in the door. It is a larger property than the photos would suggest with the bedrooms in particular being very spacious. The décor is stylish and light with a subtle seaside theme to reflect the local environment.
The beach is a short walk away ( 6 mins adult 10-12 with small children) we took advantage of the offer to rent the beach hut which enabled us to leave all the swimsuits, sand toys etc in the hut ready for when we needed them. The owner also provides beach towels which I have never been offered before and help us no end.
The owner was extremely helpful and friendly throughout the whole booking process and stay. We will be booking again and would highly recommend this cottage especially to a family group.
