These apartments/cottages are in the most stunning location. There is a beautiful loch right next to the Kenmore Club, over the small bridge are a few pubs and a shop. Absolutely perfect. The interior of our apartment was good. Lovely views from the balcony. We only stayed one night but would happily have stayed a week.

We stayed at the Kenmore club between sun 25th through Wednesday 28th May as two adults and 2 children ( 12 & 10), having secured an excellent deal via Travelzoo some months earlier. The location is superb being right on the end of Loch Tay. We had been delayed on arrival due to extreme rain and a flooded road in Edinburgh so got there about 8.05pm. Although we had brought provisions with us we decided we would eat in the restaurant after the marathon drive. Regrettably this proved impossible despite the receptionist, (Cameron) trying both the waterfront and courtyard restaurant neither had a table available. Luckily we had as I said brought provisions so it was not the end of the world. We checked in and were given keys to one of the cottages. On arrival we were very pleased, the accommodation we had (39) was well laid out with a good size G.F bedroom with en-suite shower/bathroom, hallway and heated cupboard for drying out walking boots and coats. upstairs was a well equipped kitchen/ diner and living room leading to a private balcony that (on our unit) offered glimpses of the Loch, but good views of the surrounding hills. I suspect the bigger units command the better views of the Loch. There is also a small toilet at this first floor level. The living room was spacious enough and had two settees one of which was a metal fold out sofa bed. Bedding was provided and came in a clean sealed bag. Both the GF bedroom and living room have flat screen TV's although that said channels are limited. Luckily our kids are not TV addicts adn we found something when winding down after a fun filled day. An arrival pack of coffee/Tea etc was provided as were a couple of dishwasher tablets. We found the property to be well presented and comfortable. Yes there was the odd cosmetic mark but nothing that caused us any concern and the place was spotlessly clean. We enjoyed the next three days relaxing and taking in the beauty of Loch Tay and immediate surroundings. We visited the Crannog Centre that we all thought very interesting and hired a small motor boat for an afternoon on the Loch which was great. Apart from that we spent most of our time walking or visiting local attractions. The kids enjoyed the gem and gold panning at the nearby highland safari place. We picked up some local provisions in Aberfeldy when out and about and so chilled out each evening with some wine and a home-cooked meal in the well equipped kitchen. On our final night we had booked for the Waterfront restaurant and were not disappointed. My wife had the fishcake starter and I had the goats cheese and blackpudding stack both of which were excellent. The main course selections were Venison loin and the lamb and again these did not disappoint. The childrens' meals were very generous and both our two enjoyed their meal, as did my wife and I. The staff Eiladh (and a chap whose name I did not catch) were friendly attentive and the service was excellent. Including our table of 4 there were only 2 other tables occupied which considering the quality of the meal we had this lack of fellow diners was somewhat surprising. Only my lad had a sweet as we were more than satisfied with our generous starter and main meals The meal was also reasonably priced so all in all we could not fault our dining experience. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Kenmore and suspect we will at some stage be back. We were lucky with the weather so did not use the pool facilities so cannot comment on them. Note you have to pay for internet wi-fi connection which is a minor niggle in an otherwise fantastic short break.

Beautiful cottage (no 17) the only one that had uninterrupted view of Loch Tay Just a stroll across the lovely old stone bridge and you are in Kenmore which has the Kenmore hotel with a lovely pub where Robert Burns wrote a poem which is on show. Great for golfers, anglers and walkers but we went off to do city trips as Edinburgh and Glasgow were only 1 hour 40 mins away from the resort. Staff really friendly and there are lots of great restaurants to choose from in the area.

Will be going there again!

Room Tip: Ask for a cottage overlooking the Loch beware of cottage in front of children's play area

Just returned from a lovely two-night stay at The Kenmore Club. Superb location with stunning lochside views. We had a warm and friendly check-in from the receptionist called Tina, who was helpful with travel advice too. Our lodge was beautifully appointed with tasteful and comfortable furnishings and we found our lodge to be clean and inclusive of all the things we would need from crisp, white towels to toiletries in each bathroom. We enjoyed walks in the surrounding area, including a little exploration trip to the beautiful and abandoned Taymouth Castle. The accommodation simply cannot be faulted - unfortunately the same cannot be said for the on-site restaurant.

If you are expecting a "fine dining" experience then you'll be disappointed, which is a shame because it's only walking distance away from the lodge and the prices lead one to expect a certain standard of service and food. We were seated in the conservatory for our evening meal, the chairs were of the patio/outdoor variety and not comfortable for any length of time. The music playing featured Rod Stewart for majority of time we were there, but they were kind enough to turn it down a little. The tomato soup was nicely done with clean flavours, however, the bread rolls were the "bought-in-bulk" types and the starter selection was rather restricted and didn't offer a balanced choice. One of my companions opted for garlic bread and onion rings as a starter though and he said they were rather nice. Menu choices for mains were limited too and surprisingly, there weren't many choices of fish or shellfish dishes for a lochside restaurant but if you like red meat, you won't struggle much with the selection from deer to pork to beef (done in different ways) to lamb, etc. My companions said the lamb dish was enjoyable but unimaginatively presented on a pile of mash. The fishcakes were sorely disappointing with more dried-out potato than any hint of fish and lacking in any flavour, even a slice of lemon wouldn't have gone amiss. When mentioning to the "manager" that the fishcakes appear to be more like potato cakes than fishcakes he responded (at about ten decibels louder than your average person) with, "are you asking me if there is any fish in the fishcakes"? We said, well, I suppose so, yes. He said, "I seen the chef make them myself and he used over 4 kgs of fish." He didn't say what the potato ratio was though, one could only imagine! One of my companions and I then simultaneously said that we were sorry but we couldn't eat the fishcakes because they were so dry and bland. The manager took them away, brought back the menu and we declined to reorder when he said he would not charge us for the fishcakes (again, he said it extremely loudly which was rather unsettling). Needless to say, we never opted to stay for desert and on our way out the restaurant past the bar on the left, we heard the staff in a singsong fashion saying, "is there any garlic in the garlic bread, is there any fish in the fishcakes" and then howls of laughter. We also laughed on our way out because it did seem rather comical. In summary, we would definitely return to The Kenmore Club for the location and accommodation but we will dine-in like we did the previous night or simply drive to another local restaurant.

Room Tip: All the lodges appeared to enjoy great views across the lochs.

We are really pleased that your stay at The Kenmore Club was a generally enjoyable one, but we are sorry to read that you had cause for complaint about the on-site restaurant. Please be assured that your experiences in no way reflect the standards of service excellence that we strive for in all aspects of our business, or the experiences of the majority of our guests. We would like to note that the restaurant is not managed by the resort, however we will pass your comments to the Food and Beverage company. We are sorry that you were disappointed on this occasion. We really hope that this issue didn’t mar an otherwise enjoyable stay here, and that you will give The Kenmore Club another try in the future. We would love to see you again!

Just an overnight stay, ahead of the etape cycle race. Great location and great accommodation. We had a view over the lake and the living room and bedrooms were all very high quality. The pool was also good. Would stay again, hopefully for longer next time.

Room Tip: Ask for lake view

We have just returned from a 4 day break. Accommodation is very good - could not ask for any better! The staff are very helpful. The onsite restaurant serves good food at reasonable prices. It is best to book ahead.

We stayed here overnight on our way to the highlands and it exceeded our expectations. The lodge was wonderful - large open plan lounge/diner on the top floor and two bedrooms on the ground floor. Quality of furnishings etc was excellent too. If you have small children this would be a god send because of the space inside and outside (including playground, swimming pool) as well as the value for money. We had a good evening meal at the Waterfront restaurant and there is another option just in the village (looked very good). Kenmore is an interesting place too in itself. There was no where near to eat for breakfast but we drove into Aberfeldby and had a wonderful breakfast at the Habitat Cafe

Room Tip: Two bedroom lodges are excellent
