“very rare to find such high standard accomodation!”

Fantastic standard of accomodation, with everything you could possibly need during your stay. From luxury bath robes to tea and coffee, you will want for nothing. The apartments are only a ten minute walk from Kenmore, local hotel and six miles from Aberfeldy, supermarket and carry-outs. Great area for walking and made even better for us as our apartment was dog friendly!

“Relax in Comfort & Luxury!”
Reviewed 4 June 2012 for a stay in June 2012

If you're looking for a chilled, relaxing self catering holiday with thoughtful touches and the comforts of a high end hotel - this is the place to go. Tastefully decorated with contemporary furnishings, and has a kitchen equipped far better than my own (where else do you get a juicer, toaster, full oven, microwave, coffee maker, food processor, dishwasher... oh, and gas barbecue?!), they're located in a quiet secluded spot 2miles from the village of Kenmore and next to the Scottish Crannog Centre.

More to the point, add a hot tub, thick cotton towelling robes, a selection of DVDs, games, an iPod dock and a couple of flat screen TVs, oh, and a power shower... and you have near perfect accommodation. The owners couldn't be more helpful; offering flexible check in/out on non busy days and a welcome pack of tea, coffee, and even butter.

Good job too, as there isn't a supermarket for miles! Kenmore is a small village well within walking distance (past the beach at the top of Loch Tay, offering fantastic photo opportunities), with a couple of eateries there. Aberfeldy is 7 miles away, with a few more places to choose from.

Further down the track from the apartments, there's blink-and-you'll-miss-it village of Acharn, where you can walk to Acharn Fells and the stone circle. Be prepared for a hillside hike - it's steep, but worth the effort! Don't miss the Hermit's Cave as that gives you an amazing view of the fall.

The building opposite the apartments is undergoing some refurbishment work but that did not spoil our stay (no noise or interruptions were heard) - it was visible from the patio but did not detract from the views above and beyond it.

We would return if we can persuade the family to join us next time!

Liked best: The provision of bath robes, the hot tub and the power shower!
Liked least: If I had to be really picky, I'd say more teabags in the welcome pack!!

“Great accommodation, amazing hot-tub and 100% for customer service”

Could not fault this place. From the minute we arrived was like home from home. Decor was lovely, and the appartments furnished to the highest of standards. Now for the bed, it was so comfortable - and the goose feather and down bedding just topped it off. Bathroom was also lovely decorated and very clean with toiletries provided. Towels were also provided in abundance as was fluffy robes. It is the small things that matter. There was everything you would want in a kitchen (and dont have yourself)! , do not have to take anything with you. There is even a coffee maker! We had ground floor appartments therefore had the hot tubs, which were well used (and enjoyed) and use of the BBQ. Saved having to think about taking a BBQ with us. The place itself was lovely, went to a few of the pubs which were just 10 minutes away. The customer service was faultless and will definately return.

“Location, location, great accommodation!”

What a wonderful week on Loch Tay, having rented one of the newly refurbished, self-catering apartments at Taymouth Marina. The apartments are really quite superb, being very well positioned on the lochside with fabulous loch and mountain views. Taymouth Marina also benefits from wonderful views of Kenmore, which is only a stone’s throw over the water. Aberfeldy is just six miles down the road. Our ground floor apartment was tastefully and stylishly furnished, and the hot tub on the patio added some sparkle to evenings. Various stores, restaurants and leisure amenities are located nearby. We are already working out when we can head back to the Highlands, and to Taymouth Marina.
